DAY 322

The final exams for standard 10 end today. Which makes today the last day of school. The last paper being math.

I finish my paper. I wouldn't say it was easy. It was difficult and very lengthy. But I know I will do well.

I haven't talked to Max in a week. And today...

I want to see him.

I want to talk.

I want to create a last memory.

I want an end.

A closure.

One in which I am smiling, genuinely.

"KATIE" I shout and run and pull her in her hug. I am so not ready to let her go.

And I won't.

"I have to be somewhere." She says pulling away after hugging me back.

"Hey, have you seem Max?" She asks a random guy from her class.

"He's going home." The guy shrugs and walks away.

"WHAT NO NO NO NO NO, HE CAN'T WITHOUT WRITING IT HE PROMISED ME HE WILL"

"What?"

She looks at me and says "Wait for me." And starts walking away.

I go to the bathroom and see Ramona and Sam.

We talk a little and all three walk out. Trying to find Katie.

I find her in the class and walk there.

She says something but my mind isn't able to formulate. It is distracted because of Max.

He is leaving.

He hugs Sam and is about to walk when I say "Keep that bag down, you are not going anywhere."

I don't know where is this coming from.

"I have to, my mum is waiting. I am leaving Emmy. "

"Not even for 10 minutes?"

"She's already here, she's waiting for me."

"Fine, I am sorry."
And on impulse I hug him.

I pull back before he can even react and he turns around.

"What? I don't even get a goodbye?" I ask trying to smile.

He doesn't reply but says something to Katie and they all keep walking while I stand there watching him walk away.

I did cry. I really don't know why. I don't know what was this year about and what will happen now.

So I did what I thought was best.

I celebrated A Year With Williams.

"This is for you." Katie says hand in me a card.

It is red with yellow pages in of and with messages from different people.

"Awwwh" I say.

"Don't make people read it okay?" She says smirking.

"Emmy, I am sorry. I know how you felt for Max and...."

"Shhhh. It's alright Katie. We're best friends." I say pulling her in fir another hug.

"Max wrote something too." Katie says.

"What?" I ask.

"That you are an amazing person." Katie says smiling.

"That I am."

"Rachel, I am sorry if I ever did anything to offend you. I hope we would meet again. I'm better circumstances. I really do not hate you." I smile at her.

"I am sorry too you know. I guess I was driven by jealousy. I know you are not a bad person Emmy. I hope you'll forgive me. I realize it now how bad it must have been for you. I would take back my words if I could." Rachel says looking down.

I take in a deep breath.

"So we are good?" I ask.

"I should ask you that."

We smiled.

"You HAVE to come to his birthday." Sam says.

"Sure. I mean he is your boyfriend." I say smirking.

She blushes and pushes me.

"What was his name again?" I ask.

"Blake." She says.

I smirk as she blushes.

"I hope me meet again." I tell Mira giving her a small hug.

"Me too." She says.

I wave a goodbye and get on my bus.

I see Katie's bus nearby.

"I'll see you SOON." She screams from her window.

"SOON." I scream back.

We have two more to go before the epilogue.
