DAY 169 (A/N :there is pun right here <~~~)
The big day is here. All groups are making their final touchups. Ramona and I added those glitter strips on the math bar chart and then put it up on the window and did the history thing too.
Honestly I think I and Ramona have done most of the work. Starting from the chart works to painting the wall.
We also had a mini photo shoot. Alexander has also made a review book in which has all our progress work along with our pictures and in the end there is space for parents and teachers to write about it.
They have also put up lights in the class surrounding the tent along with floating candles in a water pot under it on the table with the chi sign. Then there us light Chinese music being played in the background and they have a los lighted essence sticks.
Overall the class looks really nice.
Parents are to arrive at nine. My mom will come around Eleven because that is the time my sister has a dance.
Not many people know that I have a sister and I know this would create a problem today.
"How will you warm the water?" I ask Mira.
"The school kitchen and thermostat bottle." She replies.
"But I still don't get how this is Chinese." Ramona says.
I eye all the green tea bags. "Yeah I though Chinese tea.....
"Is boiled water along with one tea leaf in it. It doesn't have a taste and you'll puke if you ever have it." Max interrupts me.
Oh ok. Makes sense.
Max takes out the cutlery he got. It's beautiful honestly. A Chinese pot along with small Chinese cups. The pot has a beautiful dragon on it. And the cups have small Chinese designs on it.
We are supposed to serve tea to the parents and the teachers that arrive. We, being the first group has the duty. Mostly Alexander will do it because his speaking skills are unbeatable.
I have to explain the Hindi chart. That's all I have to do. Math chart is Ramona's responsibility but I can help.
I hope this goes as nice as we hope.
~~~
"How do the amount of toys coming from China harming us?" One of the parents ask.
"Of the amount of important we have is more than what we export, we will have a lose. Also if we have cheaper Chinese toys in market, Indian toys won't sell much." I explain.
She nods and moves ahead satisfied with my explanation.
I just came back from my sister's dance. I have already missed a lot of parents. Adam was furious with me. I kind of get him but my sister would have cried if I hadn't been there while she was dancing along with my mum. She loves me more than she loves anyone else and I can't hurt her.
I know my mom will arrive at anytime. I am excited but I am nervous too. I mean she knows that no one likes me and I cry secretly late at night. She knows about Ace and she knows that I hate Max.
I would love her to she the efforts we made but I don't want her to meet anyone.
But that's not possible.
"Emmy...." I hear a distant voice.
Mom.
I look at her and give her a smile.
"Say cheese!" And she snaps a picture. I roll my eyes. So typical of her.
"That's your mom?" Alexander asks me. I nod.
