I could tell that Aunt Mo hadn't been excepting people to come over as she bustled around ashamed, pushing wads of this and that into a garbage can. I smiled at her and helped her clean up a bit of the mess, when it was all finished, she sat down on the couch and looked at me sadly.
"What happened Saphire, did something happen in Uzeries? I hadn't thought that I would see you above the water for at least a few years yet." She asked as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. I put my hands in my lap, rubbing at my palms and spilled everything. About Dad and Finn and the Suitors dance mistake. She listened all the while and nodded but her eyes were a war of conflicting emotions. She even tried to explain that my father was doing what he thought best, but both of us knew that ever since Mother died, he hated seeing me, because I reminded him of her. I half smiled at the thought that at least I resembled her.
"So now that you know why I'm here, do you mind if I stay with you? I won't be a bother, but just until things are straightened out with dad."
She didn't look surprised, She smiled at me and I knew that her answer was yes.
"I'm so sorry child but I can't help you here. Whatever it is that your father has planned, I am sure that it is in his best intentions for you and the kingdom. I trust Alat and you should to, everything will figure itself out in the end, I promise dear." She said regretfully and looked down at her hands. I was surprised; and sat there, shocked.
"Wh-?" I asked, my hands trembling as I wondered where I was supposed to go. She looked up at me and I saw a lightbulb go on.......
