The next day I followed Cami into my room. I collapsed onto my bed and let out a long stream of bubbles, watching them dance upwards to the ceiling, just like a few days ago when none of this had happened. Cami has been my friend and handmaiden for many years now, and she didn't seem like a paid servant to me, but more like a best friend who lived in my house and helped out.

"What's the big seal?" Cami said,  and flopped down beside me. She started to braid my hair in criss-cross patterns as I started to motion in the water with my hands as I talked; ignoring the weird ocean puns she liked to make.

"Finn is now apparently going to be the new king, but I don't even know how I feel about him! I saw that vision of him and then we met. There was a connection, and the kiss was amazing but there is no way that those little things mean I want to marry them for life. My father really is the most horrific ruler ever!"

I huffed and startled the small seahorses that rested near the bottom of my bed. Cami looked at me and said softly ,

"Your dad has done much for the is place, you shouldn't doubt him so much, whatever he has planned is probably for the good of the kingdom!"

She says sarcastically as we laugh, and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. I tingle went through my spine. What was that?

I look over at Cami, her soft blue green hair floating around her. Her piercing brown eyes staring at me. Softly I said,

"Sorry for getting mad around you, you don't deserve to hear me rant."

Cami blushed, I didn't know why.

"No big seal." She said, laughing again at herself for the pun.

I startled us both when I leaned over and brushed my lips against hers. It took us both by surprise, but suddenly the temperature in the room seemed to get higher with our blushing, and we sat there, staring at each other as the suns rays shone through the water on our faces.

Little did I know Finn was watching,

But little did I care. Because for the moment I wanted to know that I had control of my life. Just for a second.
