I was going to marry him. No real way around it, but now I was way more comfortable with it then I had been at first.
Finn arrived, swimming into the room, the wedding planner right behind him with her head ducked, not making eye contact. That was one of the things I wanted to change. Making the servants, handmaidens, planners, and civilians stay away from eye contact with the royal family was ridiculous, they were no less of people than us and should be treated as such.
"Hello there your Majesty," Finn says and motions to the wedding planner, swishing anxiously behind him. The planner bows to me and brings forth a sampling of soft dyed seaweed fabrics. The samples showed a soft purple and a dark satin green.
"I love the green one," I say the planner. Finn nods approvingly, running his fingers up and down my arm, and squeezed my shoulder. I smile as I tell the planner the other details in the wedding. We request white and green flowers. We are going to hold the ceremony in the public gardens. It is what my mom would have wanted.
We plan the rest of the wedding, and I do feel weird about marrying at this age but I am excited, for a new Queendom.
A new life.
The fact that I actually was starting to really like him helped that. I didn't see it as marriage for the sake of expanding territory, more of having my boyfriend live in my house. Weird right?
