I swam out of my room back at the castle. The lightbulb was something unexpected that hit us as I sat on Aunt Mo's couch. I didn't even want to think about the details, but it might work. I had swum back to the castle and had barely made it in time to sit through a torturous dinner of the royal families 'friends' from a sea or two over. I headed down the white coral halls into the garden. It was the only place that I felt at utter peace. I grabbed a reed of seaweed and wrapped it around my wrist, adding shells and braiding the seaweed into it. When I finished the bracelet I let out a long sigh. staring out into the ocean as the day got darker and darker, the water churning around me and I jumped. Whipping around I took in the tall figure of Finn, slowly swimming in front of me.

"What?"

I asked him in disbelief. He shouldn't be here. Finn swam over and sat next to me. He reached out for my hand but I pulled back, and he awkwardly put it back on his lap. I ran my hand through my hair, not sure what to do next. I stared openly at him. He glanced at me.

"I'm really sorry...." he whispered.

"This never should have happened but I promise I will be good to you. I didn't even think about what would happen if someone saw us, I am so sorry Sapphire." He said. My anger at him started to boil over. I spun around and pointed at him.

"It's your fault, you should never have done it in the first place!" I scream.

I swish myself upwards and up into a coral seashell tree. He reaches out to me but I ignore him.  Finn swims up next to me, he wraps his arms around me, and this time, I don't pull away.

He kissed my forehead softly and I felt more confused than ever.

What had I gotten myself into!?
