"Marry me, princess."

"C-chance."

"Will you marry me?" He ask again.

I kneel down to level with him and cupped his face. "Chance, you don't have to do this."

"Why?" He hesitantly ask.

"Because I will not leave you no matter what. And marrying me, wouldn't solve everything." It's not the right time I know. At isa pa ayokong pakasalan lang nya ako dahil takot itong baka mawala ako sakanya, I know him.

"So you're saying no."

"Chance, we both know this is not the right time."

He didnt say anything but I can see in his eyes he's hurt. For pete's sake I just rejected him.

"I love you, you know that right?"

He nodded trying to push a smile. "Guess, rejection is bitter the second time around."

"Chance..." I trailed off softly.

"It's okay. I understand." He lean to kiss me.

The night went well, sort of. Though he said he's okay and he understand it I can feel something's wrong. Yung feeling na kahit hinalikan ka nya or niyayakap may kulang parin, maybe because I blown up his pride. Hindi ko sya masisisi dahil kahit ako naguguluhan din kung bakit nga ba hindi nalang ako sumagot nang oo. Haays.

"Good morning." I greeted him.

"You're early." He commented still scratching his eyes.

Holding the tray I made my way to the bed and place it. "Is that really surprising?" I furrowed my brows.

He smiled at me. "Yes." I narrowed my eyes at him. "Kidding." He continued chuckling.

"Ha. Ha." I laugh mockingly. "Let's just eat."

This is a good sign I think. Well, part of making him a breakfast in bed is my plan. Gusto ko lang malaman kung galit ba sya sakin dahil sa nangyari kagabi. I know men can forgive but they don't forget.

"I'll be late tonight, wag mo nakong hintayin hmm?" He kissed my forehead at bago palang ako makasagot umalis narin ito.

I understand dahil ako rin naman dahilan bakit sya late. Siguro kailangan ko nang may pagkakaabalahan para hindi ko sya palaging mamiss.

Chance's POV

"Son, you know the risk if you accepted this."

"Dad I know kaya nga gagawin ko to eh."

"Chance, don't you see? Masyadong malaki ang offer nila? And to think they're buying the fifty percent stocks of our company."

"They assure me na hindi nila bibilhin to."

"And what's your proof?"

"Because she's a friend." I reasoned out with finality.

"I still doubt it Chance. Sooner or later you'll see, mayroon at mayroon syang hihinging kapalit sa lahat nang to."

I know my dad is right pero pano ko isasalba ang kompanya kung wala ang tulong nya? As of now pinagaaralan ko parin kung tatanggapin kong major investor si Emerald dahil inoffer nya to at sa totoo lang, nakakaengganyo ito pero alam kong dapat ko pang pagiisipan to.
