POV: Killian

"I think we should stop here!" I shouted as we slowed our horses. Liam turned and sighed, "It's only a little further, brother". I nodded, "Aye, but we need to rest and so do the horses...let's rest at the inn and leave tomorrow". He turned and looked at the road ahead and sighed. "We'll stay for the night...but if they find us, I'm blaming you". I nodded and we dismounted.

Liam held the horses reins and I approched the door to the inn, I knocked and waited. Soon it opened with a small squeaky noise. A woman smiled at me, "Can I help you?". I nodded, "My brother and I were wondering if we could stay for the night, if you have room". She nodded, "Of course! You can tie the horses up and come inside, I'll have a room ready for you". I nodded, "Thank you, we appresiate it". Then I turned and approched my brother.

"What did she say?" he asked nervously. I smiled, "We can stay but we need to tie the horses up". He nodded and I helped him tie them. Then we headed inside. The lady smiled when she saw us enter. She waved us over from behind a desk, "Come! I have your room key". We walked up to the desk and Liam took they key. I looked around and admired the room. It was completely made of wood and looked very cozy. "Your room is 6, you can bathe, eat and sleep...but you mustn't go wondering around" she said with a serious look on her face. I nodded and we headed up the wooden stairs.

We opened the door and looked around our room. There were two beds, a nightstand and a bathtub that was hiden behind a shade. I turned to Liam, he looked nervous. "What's wrong?" I asked. He shrugged, "Why aren't there any other people? Why is she alone? If this is an inn, there would be more people". I chuckled at my brother's nervousness and rested my hand on his shoulder. "People are probably sleeping, it's late...and she probably owns this place by herself...I think your just too overwhelmed with our situation, go take a bath" I said before giving him a reassuring nod. He sighed and walked to the bathtub. "I'm going to go ask her something, I'll be back" I said before closing the door ans stepping into the hallway.

There were only ten rooms in the entire building. The hallway wrapped around a open area where you could look downstairs. I walked around in circles looking around. I never wanted to ask the lady anything, I just didn't want to tell my brother that I was going to do the one thing she told us not to do. Creek! I froze. I looked around trying to figure out where the sound came from. I thought I spotted blonde hair wip up a ladder. I walked over to find a hiden ladder, I looked up to see it led to an attic. I waited to see if I could hear any noises but I heared nothing. I guess I was just seeing things.

"Hey! Boy!"

I turned to see the lady standing at the opening from downstairs. I turned and looked down at her. "What are you doing?" she asked with anger in her voice. "Sorry! I was looking for the bathroom" I lied. She sighed, "It's down here! Now get away from there!". I nodded and walked downstairs. She pointed to the direction of the bathrooms and I smiled, "Thank you". She nodded, "I thought I said not to poke around, kid". I gulped, "I know, I was just looking for the bathroom and I thought that maybe it was in the attic". She shook her head, "Why would it be there?". I shrugged. "Just don't go up there, it's my personal property" she said looking back down at her book. I nodded, "Yes, I will". With that, I walked towards the bathroom and closed the door.

I took a deep breath, that was weird. I think she was hiding something. What if it was a room full of magic? What if it was some sort of magical item? I shook my head. I was being silly. I opened the door and returned upstairs. When I got in the room Liam was sitting on his bed looking through our stuff. "Hey" I said as I closed our room door. He looked up and smiled, "Where were you?". I shrugged, "I asked where the bathroom was". It wasn't a complete lie, I just left out some key information about what I was doing. He nodded and cleared his bed off.
