I was sitting on my bed, talking with Teddy about how I hurt my knee when a crumpled paper landed on my window seat. I put Teddy on the bed and walked to where the paper was. As soon as I got there, I saw Lucas sitting on his window seat.

“Hey,” he started “My parents left and I’m taking care of Kate. Do you wanna come over?”

I was home alone and I had nothing better to do so I quickly agreed.

“Move!” I ordered “I want to jump.”

He chuckled as he moved away from his window seat. I jumped out of my window and landed in his room. I winced when my injured knee hurt from the effect of the jump.

Like every other time, I tripped on his window seat. I shut my eyes waiting for my face to collide with the floor but instead, I felt big arms wrap around me.

“I got you,” Lucas smiled. He gently put me down and I mumbled an embarrassed: ‘thanks’. I expected him to remove his hands from my waist when he put me down but he didn’t. Even after I had thanked him, he kept his arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him so that every inch of our bodies was touching. I looked into his eyes wanting to tell him to let go but I didn’t. A part of me wanted him to stay like this…

“Riana!” the cute blonde girl exclaimed and that’s when Lucas let go of me.

I kneeled down and picked her up, making her giggle.

“So what do you want to play today Lyn?” I asked her.

“First we will dress up as princesses and then have a tea party!” she squealed and I laughed at how cute she was.

“Okay then, where are our dresses?”

She led us to her little cute room. It was light purple with a white bed in the middle and a purple closet against the wall. It was filled with tons of teddy bears and dolls.

“This is mine,” she pointed to a cute little pink dress. Then she ran out of her room and came back after a minute, holding two dresses which were much bigger than her.

I helped her and when they were lying on her bed, she pointed to the short white one and said that it was for me. The next sentence she said was not what I expected.

“And the other one is for Lucas!” His eyes widened and I roared with laughter.

“No, no, no, no I am not wearing that!” Lucas said horrified.

“Pweaseee” Katelyn begged, using her puppy face.

“I think this is a great idea Lucas!” I smirked at him at he shot me a dirty look.

“No.” he said firmly.

“I’ll be the servant?” he asked.

Katelyn tsked, “No, the tea party won’t work with only two! Don’t you know the rules Lucas? It’s three or more.”

I laughed lightly as Lucas grumbled something under his breath.

“But I’m a boy Katelyn! I don’t wear dresses!” he argued.

“No one is going to see you. Please Lucas, only for the tea party!” she gave him a look that made my heart melt.

His eyes softened a bit but he managed to refuse again.

We finally forced him to wear the purple dress. He took it and went to his room, while mumbling some incoherent words.

I helped Katelyn with her dress and then I put on mine. It was a tight strapless dress that fell mid-thigh and in my opinion, it showed too much skin. But I didn’t protest because Katelyn loved it.
