Chapter 38

*Flashback*
"Hey Fie-fie let's play over the slide!"One of my play mates called me.
"Sure."I called back as we ran over to the slides, but I then stopped at something that caught my attention. There was a little boy laying on the ground looking up at the sky smiling. My playmate noticed that I stopped so she came back.
"Hey what's wrong?"She asked.
"Who's that?"I ask as I pointed my finger at the strange boy.
"Oh he's just some kind of weirdo, ignore him. Come on everyone's waiting, let's play over there."She said as she pulled me.
"I'll be there in a sec."I said as I focused my attention on the boy.
"Fine, we'll wait for you."She said as she ran of to my other playmates.
"Hey you."I called out to the boy as I approached. He suddenly opened his eyes as it found mine.
"What are you doing?"I asked blocking the sun from him.
"I'm playing I feel what the sky feel."He said.
"What kind of game is that?"I giggled then sat by his side, this boy is interesting.
"Well the name says it self, you feel what the sky feels."He said as he looked at the sky. I started to lie down and face the sky. The sun's rays weren't that bad for the eyes, the sky was blue, and the clouds were puffy which made me smile.
"That's it right there, you felt the sky and now you're smiling."The boy said looking at me from the side with his thick rimmed glasses.
"I'm Fie-fie."I introduced as my pearly whites show.
"I'm Tibi."He said as he grin showing off his braces.
*End of flashback*

"What happened to your old self?The one with glasses, braces and with the dorky clothes. And Oh let's not forget about the bangs."I said mocking him as I laugh.
"I figured it didn't fit a handsome guy like me."Sabi niya sabay pogi pose.
"Pshhhhh hahahahaha!"
"Ah pinagtatawanan mo ko, ganun."
"No Tyler don---HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"But I was too late, he already leaped and tickled me. I forgot that besides kuya, he also knows I'm ticklish.
"STOP-HAHAHAHAHA-IT!"I couldn't contain myself of laughing so hard. When he stopped I was already catching air and it was his turn to laugh. It's good that we're like this, like we were when we were kids. Us laughing and being happy with each other.

So now we're both silently laying on his bed, staring at the sealing.
"Bakit ka nawala sa states?"Tumagilid ako para harapin siya. Pagtingin ko sa kanya biglang nawala ang ngiti niya.
"Pumunta lang kami sa states dahil...my parents filed a divorce contract."Sabi niya ng hindi ako tinignan. I stayed silent waiting for him to continue as I held his hand.
"Kaya nung matapos, bumalik din agad kami dito. Pero hindi na namin kasama si Mama, she has a secret family all along in the states. Alam mo, she and my father were arranged too. It turns out my Mother didn't love my Dad and that my Mother had a daughter before my sister. Pero hindi nalaman ni Papa kasi itinago ni Mama ang anak niya dun sa ibang lalaki. When I was young I really didn't understand all of it. But as years came I started to look for her, we didn't have contact on her for ten whole years. Kaya nung time na biglang tumawag si Mama I felt different kinds of emotions, pain, anger, happiness and most of all longing for a mother's hug. And that was also the time you saw me on the park the otherday soaking wet."From my angle I couldn't see much of his expression but I do know that he's really sad right now.
"Don't worry it will all be alright."I said as I cuddle up to him.
"Fie?"He called out.
"Hmmm?"
"Will you stay with me tonight?"He ask as he cuddled too, I just nod an answer.
Today was a very touching day, the arrival of ate Trisha's family, Tyler being Tibi all along and also his revelations. The story of his mother...It got me thinking. What if something bad happens to our marriage in the end, just like what happened to his parents?And that's what I'm scared of, knowing that the end is not what you expected it to be.

"By the way."I spoke.

"Hmmm?"

"San ng galing ang Tibi?"

"Si ate may pakana niyan, sabi niya mas cute daw pag Tibi. Pero letter T at B talaga yan."Sagot niya, hindi na ako nagsalita pa at natulog na.

I woke up with no Tyler on my side. I heard his phone beep, so I reached for it at the bedside table. Pagtingin ko it was only a group message from Seth greeting everyone a good morning. Out of curiosity I slid open his phone. What I saw shocked me, his wallpaper was a collage of stolen shots of me. I went to his gallery and there were different kinds of file names. I look at the folders and he really does like to take pictures. But the file named Mrs. Chua got my attention, as I clicked the folder there were so many pictures of me. There was one when I was putting my hand out a car on a rainy day taken from meters away, ito yung funeral ni kuya. He was there?Why didn't I notice him?
I scrolled down and saw a stolen shot of me at the ferris wheel when I was smiling, then a picture of me that seemed like I was laughing this was when we ate with his friends at McDo. Meron din yung nagpalutang kami ng mga paper boats, saka din yung nakatulog ako nung may thunderstorm, and now a recent one it was taken a couple of minutes ago.
"I see you found my phone."Bigla akong napatingin sa pintuan and there Tyler was leaning on the door frame while crossing his arms a smirk plastered on his face.
"Uh...sorry..."Sabi ko sabay yuko.
"Come on breakfast is ready."Sabi niya sabay hila sakin at kuha sa phone.
