Chapter 14

Pagkatapos ng classes namin, I dragged Jordan to the parking lot and of course Tyler was behind us.

"Saan ba kasi tayo pupunta Gab?"Tanong ni Jordan sakin na nalilito na.

"You're gonna undergo a transformation at the mall."I informed her.

"Ano?!"Sabi niya na tila nabigla sa sinabi ko.

"You heard me, now come on."I said while beckoning her to come inside the car and so she did.

"Wait, sino siya?"Tanong ni Jordan habang tinuturo si Tyler.

"Oh I'm her husband to be."Tyler said with a grin plastered on his face.

"Woah?Ganun niyo ba talaga kamahal ang isa't isa na to the point na magpapakasal na kayo kahit na ang babata niyo pa?"Jordan asked with haste as she said her sentence.

"Haven't heard of fixed marriage?"I replied a question.

"Oh that's sad, you don't have the freedom to choose your faith."Sabi niya like she felt sorry for us. Faith?Which story book did you swallow?

There's no such thing as it.

"I kinda like it."An unexpected response came from Tyler's grinning mouth.

"Yieeeh Wag kayong ganyan kinikilig ako."Sabi ni Jordan na parang batang kinikiliti.

"Could you get on with the driving?"I just couldn't take the situation.

"Uy she's changing the topic."Jordan teased, which was getting on my nerves.

"Where too, ma lady?"Tanong ni Tyler.

"The closest mall you know."I replied while crossing my arms, I'm kinda excited about this whole makeover thing. Well it's not to have a friend or anything, it's for...doing a good deed for once. Plus I really want to know the feeling of the host in the show How Do I look where you see the transformation of disaster.

"You look scary." Tyler replied teasingly.

"Just drive."And so with that he turned on the engine and started to get the car moving.

When we arrived at the mall, dumiretso agad kami sa isang salon ng mall. When we came in gay people welcomed us and stared at Tyler differently, they were all over him. I saw the look on Tyler's face and it was hilarious. I went to the counter along with Tyler and Jordan.

"Uhm excuse me, I would like my friend here to get a make over?"Sabi ko sa bakla na nasa counter ng salon.

The gay person looked at me then to Jordan with a disapproving look and then his/her eyes landed on Tyler.

"Is he the friend you're talking about?"He/she, I'm totally confuse on what to refer this person. But anyways he looked at Tyler the way the other gay people looked at him earlier. Poor Tyler, he looked uncomfortable.

"Ah hindi, I meant her."Sabi ko sabay turo ky Jordan.

"Ohw sure, I'll let my best men do her."Sabi ni gay person on the counter while not removing his/her eyes from Tyler's.

"Hey, It's okay if you wait outside. I know this is kinda not your thing."Sabi ko kay Tyler na tila naka hinga na ng malalim.

"Thank you, you're a life saver."He said then swiftly kissed my cheeks as he walked out. What is with him and kisses, sheesh.

"You're like a tomato."Jordan said clueless as I walk towards her while she was already seated at the salon chair.

"It's uh nothing."I said ignoring my perfectly red face.

"So let's get started ladies."Another gay person said it then he started the whole operation. He first took off Jordan's glasses, then started to comb Jordan's messy and frizzy hair. He had a rough time though and Jordan clearly looked pained, but he did finish combing her hair at some point. Then after that, the whole make over was a blur.

"You look beautiful."The gay person commented.

"I thought so."Sabi ko while looking at Jordan on the mirror. She looked like she couldn't believe that it was her own reflection. The hair, once was a mess now a straightened, curvy, highlighted one. Nilagyan din ng light make up ang mukha niya. Now she really looked like an angel.

"Is this really me?"She said like she still couldn't believe it.

"Yes it is you."Mission accomplished.

After the whole make over thing, I paid the bill. She refused but I said to take it as a gift from me. When we got out, I saw Tyler leaning on a wall with his focus on his phone.

"Hey."Lumingon si Tyler, tumingin siya sakin at nag smile then he looked at Jordan with a I.Knew.She.Was.Beautiful look.

"Wow, you really are beautiful."Tyler complimented.

"I know right."I said with an I achieved something tone.

"Stop it you guys."She said blushing, how cute.

After that we shopped her clothes. Tyler paid for it and said to take it as a gift also. Jordan was really grateful about the things we did for her so to make it up nilibre niya kami ng pagkain sa food court.

"Thanks for this day guys."She thanked us shyly.

"Oh it was nothing."Tyler said while taking a big bite on his burger. Sheesh guys and their big appetites.

"Really, kayong dalawa palang unang gumawa ng ganito sakin. I owe you two my gratitude."She said sincerely.

"Glad we could help."I said while taking a bite on my fries.

"Thanks for being good friends."

Oh no, I can't do this.

"U-uh we should get going."I said while standing up.

"But I haven't even finished my burger yet."Sabi ni Tyler na nanghihinayang sa burger niya.

"I remembered that we have to do something, right Tyler?"Sabi ko na tiningnan si Tyler ng Paghindi.Ka.Um-oo.Lagot.Ka.Sakin look.

"U-uh right, uhm Jordan it was nice meeting you. Are you going to be fine on your own?"Sabi ni Tyler kay Jordan.

"Yep sanay naman ako eh sige, ingat kayo."She smiled sweetly at us and with that umalis na kami.

"What was that?"Tanong ni Tyler sakin, na tila naguguluhan sa ginawa ko.

"I don't wanna talk about it."Sabi ko nang hindi tinignan si Tyler.

"Cheap move, you know she really wanted you to be her friend."Tyler said like she was sorry for Jordan.

"Look I don't want to have friends okay?I've been with a wrong one and I don't want it to ever happen again."I said while a little bit of annoyance was creeping over me.

"How would you know if she's gonna be like the friend you had last time?You know if you had a bad past then don't make that an excuse to make your present a bad one too."Tyler said looking at me with sincerity.

"Just drive, Tyler."I commanded him.

"You don't have to put a big wall around yourself you know."Sabi niya while he started the engine. I just remained silent, and I thought about what Tyler said. Sorry Tyler but I think my heart couldn't handle another more of those things.

I just couldn't...
