Operation Redney

Red and Barney had been acting really weird lately. Hugging, holding hands, constantly spending time with each other. On and off camera, they always seemed to be together. The guys at Sky Media were not sure what to think. Were they in a relationship? What were they doing when they weren't at the offices? Why were they suddenly so close?

Jumping to conclusions of then causes conflict and Sky didn't want to cause any trouble. But he did want to know what was going on. Every time the guys asked Barney and Red what was going on, they just kind of brushed the guys off. The vague, half hearted answers did nothing to satisfy Adam's curiosity. There was only one way to find out.

By snooping around in their personal business.

So, after much planning and thinking and asking for help from his top brainiacs in the office, Adam had finally devised a half decent plan that with enough dumb luck and prayer might actually work. And if there was anything Adam had, it was dumb luck, Garry's Mod murder and countless minecraft minigames had proved that. So the guys figured it was time to put all that dumb luck to use.

"Red! Gets your ass in here!" Barney shouted, waving over his friend impatiently. Adam fought back a giggle, snuggling farther down in his hiding spot. With the help of his homeboys Ethan, Jake, and Max, he had created the perfect hiding spot in the far corner of one of the incomplete gaming rooms, the red and blue one. Hardly anyone ever went in there, except for Red and Barney, who spent a suspiciously large portion of time together, in there, alone.

Red entered the room, grinning at Barney as he walked right over to one of the couches, which sank underneath the newly added weight. "What's up, dirt?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Hey!" Barney shouted. "Thats mys line!" The two men laughed, Barney walking over to join his friend.

"Hey, that's new." Red said, pointing at the corner where Adam was hidden.

"Ya. Adams said that it was a parts of a news sketch theyre releasing soons. Rot is goings to jump out of the that big cardsboard Rot." Barney explained. Adam grinned to himself. He fell for it!

You see, Adam was hidden in a big, painted, life size cardboard replica of Ross' minecraft skin, and he told Barney they were going to use it for a comedy sketch/advertisement for some new merchandise they were releasing soon. Actually, it was a very clever ruse. (Thank you, Ethan. Your talent never ceases to serve the offices.)

"Cool." Red said, grinning at Barney. "We've got a Do Not Laugh in 15 minutes. Let's see if we can make this quick."

"Yes sir." Barney answered with a smirk, leaning in and pressing his lips up against Red's, who melted immediately into the kiss.

"HA! I KNEW IT!" Adam screamed, leaping up, knocking off the head of Ross and causing the figure to tilt and fall over.

The loud, distinctly feminine scream that escaped Red's mouth when Adam suddenly erupted from the decapitated neck of Ross is something he is not proud of to this day. Barney screamed as well, but it was more of a startled roar than a high pitched shriek.

"WHAT THE FUCK, ADAMS?!" Barney shouted at Adam, who was still sprawled out, hips stuck in Ross' neck. Red was blushing a bright red that paled his hair in comparison, and everyone rushed to the room where all the screaming had been coming from.

"WHO DIED?!" Max shouted, poking his head in the doorway. Adam groaned, sliding the rest of the way out of Ross with some difficulty. "Me." Adam responded raising his hand.

"YOU?!" Red shrieked, clutching his chest and hyperventilating. "I HAD A MINIATURE HEART ATTACK! WHAT THE FUCK MAN?!"

Despite being slightly bruised from falling over, Adam was still overjoyed, leaping up instantly and grabbing the struggling and protesting couple into a huge bear hug. "BARNEY AND RED ARE DATING AND THEYRE SO CUUUUUUTE!!!!!!!" Adam screamed at the top of his lungs, causing Red and Barney to flinch. "I PRONOUNCE YOU, THE DINO-MIC DUO!!!!!"

Everyone in the office groaned loudly at this pun, even Adam's father, who buried his face in his hands and chuckled a little.

In the end, everyone was happy for the couple. Many bad dinosaur puns had been thrown about for the next few months, putting the "Mad Max" jokes to shame. Happily Ever After is something that no one can guarantee, since we don't have any way to look into the future, but I think it's fair to say that the Dino-mic duo has a fairly good chance at their hard-earned Happily Ever After.

The Dino-mic duo (dynamic duo hahaha I'm not funny) is one of the worst puns I've ever made. But whatever. No regrets.

This was one of my better fanfictions. Redney is a fairly new ship of mine, I've shipped mithross for way longer. But both are otps. Shout out to Ethan, Jake, and Max for helping Adam plot out his little scheme, and as always, check out House_Owner
