Dipper's (POV)
That morning, the birds were chirping, the sun was shining bright, and I was all cosy with a good friend. I move her tail gently to the side as I got up, and stretched. I yawned before I went out side for water. Lucky for me, there was a stream not too far away from the cave. I took a few sips before I felt someone push me in the water. I swam up, and saw Wendy laughing. I was a little ticked off and splashed her. She stopped laughing and jumped in with me.
We both laughed and splashed each other all morning. After we got out and shook off, Wendy went to go get food. I was playing in the grass as I waited for her. I then saw a family of foxes come by. They looked so happy, and then I thought back to my old family. I was separated from them when I was chased by the wolves. I couldn't help but shed a tear when they left. And before I knew it, I was crying hard on the ground.
Wendy's (POV)
I walked back on the path back to the den, when I saw Dipper crying in the grass. I put the food down, and walked over to him. I licked his tears away and layed down by him. He moved closer to me, and shoved his head near me and cried. I rested my head on his shoulder, and licked his back. I felt like I should of asked him what was wrong, but I felt like I should wait. When he calmed down, I looked at him in the eyes and I spoke up.
"Dipper, what happened?"
"Being chased by the wolves is what happened!!"
"Huh?"
"If it wasn't for them, I would still have my family! I feel so alone with out them!"
"But you're not."
He looked up at me with tears in his eyes. I pulled him close and hugged him before he spoke up again.
"Wendy, I don't understand how am I not alone?"
"Because I'm here."
I sighed before I pulled him close again. I took a deep breath, before I started to sing to him.
"Slowly fading away. You're lost and so afraid."
"Where is the hope? In a world so cold."
"Looking for a distance light. Someone who can save a life."
"Having a fear, that no one will hear your cry."
"Can you save me now?"
"Dipper..."
"I'm with you, I will carry you through it all."
"I won't leave you, I will catch you."
"When you feel like letting go."
"Cause you're not..."
"You're not alone..."
When I stopped singing, he hugged me tighter, and I held him back. I licked the rest of his tears away, and smiled at him, before he spoke up again.
"Thank you Wendy."
"Of course dude. And I mean it, I won't go."
"I know you won't...."
I smiled at him, and gave him his food. He smiled at me and he started eating.
Dipper's (POV)
I never knew a wolf could care so much for a deer. Her words really touched me, and made me feel safe again. I guess being chased by the wolves wasn't so bad, because if I never was, I would have never met Wendy. Even though I missed my family, I felt like Wendy was a part of me, and that I can survive with out them. After I was done eating, Wendy and I went for a walk in the meadow of the woods.
When we got there, we played, we chased each other around. And I pretended to be a wolf and howled. I was really bad at it, but Wendy just smiled and joined my bad howling. When we were done with our fun day, we curled up around each other and watching the sun set. I Was enjoying it, until I felt something on my head. At first I thought she licked me again, but then I felt me head. It felt like I had a crown on. I took it off and saw it was a flower crown. I smiled and put it back on my head.
I then looked to my left, and saw a bunch of flowers in the grass. I got up, and picked a pink and white Lily. I walked back to Wendy, and put the Lily in her fur. She smiled at me, and I sat back down with her. We were about to fall asleep, when we heard growling behind us.....
