Not a wolf In Sheep's Clothing After All (Monster Falls Wendip Fanfiction)

Chapter two: "I won't hurt you."

Dipper's (POV)

When I woke up, Wendy was already up, and by the opening of the cave. She sat down and howled. I got up, and walked over to her. I sat by her and she looked down at me. She gave me a smile, and looked up at the sky. I heard her do a deep growl before she ran out of the cave. I didn't know what she was doing until I saw another wolf being chased away by her. She was growling and barking at the wolf as it ran. When it was gone, she came back to me. I looked down in fear before I felt something warm and wet on my cheek. She licked me. I blushed as she started to mess with my fur. I flinched as she groomed me.

"Ow, Wendy hey!"

"Jeeze, you're harder to groom then the pups in my pack."

"Can you go a little easier on me please?"

"Okay fine."

Wendy stopped picking at my fur and just picked me up. I didn't know where we were going until I felt cold all over. I opened my eyes to see that I was in water! I swam up to see Wendy laughing. I crawled out of the water, and she licked me again. I shook off the water and got her wet too. I laughed at her dripping fur coat. She growled alittle but then laughed with me.

She shook off the water and we headed back to the den. I started to hear howling in the distance, and I started to shake in fear. Wendy turned to me and nudged me. My ears flattened as she heard the howling come closer. She growled and barked at what ever was there. I ran into the back of the den as Wendy continued to growl. I put my hands over my ears so I could not hear anything. After awhile I felt something wet on my head. I looked to see Wendy licked my head. I smiled at her and she smiled back.

Even though she saved me, I still feel a little uneasy around her. I get the feeling that, she is just biting her time before she strikes. I started to sweat at that thought as she pawed me a leaf full of food. She sat at the opening of the cave and I still felt like she was up to something. I decided that I shouldn't be thinking like that and ate the food she got me. After I was done, I saw Wendy had fallen asleep by the cave opening. I know she wouldn't hurt me, but I couldn't shake that feeling. How do I know that I can really trust her? I layed down in the middle of the cave and felt really sleepy. I then felt something warm around me. I looked to see Wendy has curled herself around me once again. I blushed before I fell asleep in her tail. For some reason, I felt safe and in danger when I was wrapped in her tail. I felt safe because, she could protect me from other predators, but in danger because she is a predator and could hurt me. Before I could give it a second thought, I fell asleep in her tail.
