Chapter fourteen: "My deer mate."

Wendy's (POV)

I really couldn't believe that Dipper choose me over his family. But I do love the kid, even if he is a deer. But after everything we have been through, how can I not love him? We have been against other wolves, and hunters. It was rough but we made it through. A few years after Dipper saw his family again, me and him went to the meadow and played all day long. He looked so cute when his antlers started to come in. Now he wasn't a fawn anymore, now he was a full grown buck.

After we played in the meadow, I saw Dipper making something with a flower. I wasn't sure what it was until he came to me. He got down on two legs and showed me a flower ring he made. He held my paw as he spoke up.

"Wendy, you know I love you, and I was wondering if you would like to be my mate?"

"Of course I will!"

Ge smiled warmly at me and slipped the flower ring on my paw. I blushed as he got up. He kissed me, and I kissed back. I loved him and he loved me, no matter what.

A few years later Dipper and I decided to adopt a child. One day as we were walking, we saw a wolf puppy crying. I walked up to him and he whimpered. I licked his tears away and layed down by him. He looked at me with his sweet yellow eyes. I smiled at him as I picked him up. I walked back to Dipper and he took the pup from my fangs. We walked back to our den, and set the pup down.

The pup looked up at is and smiled. I smiled back as I gave him a rabbit I caught earlier. He yipped happily and ate the rabbit. When he was done I groomed his fur. His fur was light brown with a hint of yellow. He had bright yellow spots on his back and face. He was perfect. When the puppy was asleep me and Dipper walked outside to talk about the pup.

"You sure we should take him in?"

"Why not? He is perfect."

"Alright, but what should we name him?"

"Well, I always liked the name Colby."

"Perfect."

When the puppy was awake, Dipper and I decided to tell him the news. He looked at us with his bright yellow eyes, and smiled. We smiled back and told him that we would be his new family, and told him his new name. He yipped happily and licked my cheek. Dipper smiled at us and picked up the puppy. Right away, he treated Colby like his own. I was happy about that. Not only did I have a perfect mate, I had the perfect puppy too. My life couldn't be any better, and I can tell Dipper felt the same.
