"I'm thankful to all those who said "No" because of them, I did it myself." -- Einstein

So, there it is. Saturday night. The night where the entire world goes out and parties it up, except me. I am stuck here, in my dorm room and all alone. Karin had to go to some meeting for the technology club or whatever it was and Lily had made some plans with a couple of girls and guys to do whatever it was they were going to go do. I couldn't care less, but that left me with only one option, Kim. After I slammed the door on her this afternoon, she was more determined then ever to tell me about this new boy crush of hers. All I really wanted, was to go the party that was being held by the Student Council President and Vice President. It was an open invitation which meant that no one could "gate crash" the party as they didn't have to be invited in the first place.

Anyway, here I was, with my black hair blow dried with slight curls toward the bottom, my bangs sweeped to the left side, silver earrings which hung till mid-neck, with a one shoulder simple purple dress that reached mid-thigh paired with silver heels. I also had a silver bracelet, a long necklace and applied very little makeup which looked almost natural with shiny red lip gloss. I had been this way for the past half an hour yet, I had not left for the campus party.

Kim has been driving me up the wall for the past two hours with the constant dress change and perfect accessories to match with each as she wants to make a good first 'impression.' "Kim, you have tried over a hundred dresses, already. I think the black dress you wore first was perfect. You should go with that one and gold heels. Let's just go!" I said it in the nicest way possible when all I really wanted to just scream my lungs out at her.

"Ugh, fine." she used a little too much force on the word fine. "But, I have to look perfect for my mystery hunk-a-licious man." At which I rolled my eyes.

"Why are girls always getting so dolled up for such douche-like guys?" I mumbled to myself as we headed out. Before leaving, I grabbed my silver purse which matched perfectly with the rest of my accessories. "Oh and by the way, you're driving so catch." I tossed Kim the keys to her car.

"Hey, that's not fair!" Kim retaliated.

"Oh heck no it isn't. You kept me waiting for over an hour!" I fired back.

"Please, it was only half." Kim continued trying to prove a point which I didn't see. But, it didn't matter anyway since we were already in the car and she was already driving. I turned the radio up high which was playing it's Saturday night party hits. I didn't really know what song it was or the lyrics but I sang aloud to the few repeating lyrics of each song that I knew. Kim joined in soon enough too and that's when we both knew our earlier babble was all forgotten and over with.

After about twenty minutes, we arrived at the Student Council building. And wow, was it decorated. And not only was the place all fancied up, you could also hear the music pumping all the way down the street. "Hey! Come on in, guys!" Some girl screamed from across the lounge room.

"This is so cool!" Kim exclaimed as we walked through the crowd in the lounge room and headed out back. She was practically jumping up and down in excitement.

The real party was in the yard which was decorated with little yellow lights every where including on every tree. On the left side of the yard was a huge pool and the right side had a dance floor which was already getting crowded. Circle tables were kept by the house on either side of the sliding doors which were connected to the kitchen. On the tables were many kind of drinks which all looked spiked. But, it isn't going to be a party without it, right?

"Hey Kim! Drinks first." I screamed over the music.

"What?" Kim yelled back.

"I said-" Oh forget it. There was no point in yelling over the music so, I grabbed Kim's hand and dragged her over to the round tables. I got some blue 'punch' which tasted more like alcohol and other weird witchy herbs than an actual drink, and gulped it all down at once. This caused the drink to go right up to my head with only one cup and I shook my head out to clear it a little. As soon as, I finished my drink, I made my way over to the dance floor, which I had been eyeing since we arrived.
