"The worst time to feel alone is when you're in a crowd." - Anthony Horowitz

Andrew's P.O.V.

"..And so, I propose we implement a strict regime on our members. If they want to buy Anti-Council merchandise, they should just go and join them." Peyton argued. Rae agreed to whatever she said because everyone knew the dude loved her and would follow her lead to hell and back. While Rae was head over heels in love with the girl, Peyton always seemed to ignore his feelings or maybe just avoid them.

I was at, yet another, Council meeting. I didn't care about the sales or profits we were getting or if we were lacking. I had other priorities in life. When Zak and I used to run the Council, joint partnership off-course, we used to rule the school. We would find ways to make our lives fun. Our group was exclusive, only the strongest of the strongest were allowed to join us and each member was hand-picked and unique. Now, the Council has opened it's doors to everyone. However, at least only the most powerful could hold an officer position. I gave the presidency chair over to Rae because, as much as I hate to admit it, it didn't feel the same without Zak. I wanted to be free and the Special's chair allowed me to do just that. I don't have many responsibilities or duties as the Special's chair and this way I can still be a major part of the organization, without doing all the work. And the best part is, I still remained the prize possession of the club.

"What do you think, Andrew?" Peyton looked at me.

"Honestly, I don't care. Do what you guys want. You're the president and co-president so these decisions are up to you guys. Me, on the other hand, my job is to chill and have fun. So I'm about to do just that and crash a party while I'm at it." I couldn't stand it anymore, all this talking was giving me a headache. I didn't mean to be rude, but I just couldn't get myself to care enough about such minuscule matters. As I got up to leave, Rae shot me a glare and was about to tell me to sit back down before Peyton cut in and sent him a look that said to let me go.

I walked through the Room of Passages and for some reason felt like taking the long way to the Anti-Council house. I ended up right outside the school. I was about to go take the passage way back to the party, but something stopped me. I felt a pull in the direction that lead towards the stream, so I followed it. I was shocked to see Zoey sitting there, all alone. She let out a small sound that sounded somewhat like a mixture of a growl and groan to show how un-welcomed I was to join her, but I simply ignored it.

"What are you doing here?"

"What's it to you?" She fired back.

"I asked first."

"And I answered back."

"With a question."

"You never said I had to answer with an answer and nor did I say I will."

"Why can't you ever just answer something-" She always got under my skin. There was something about her that just made it impossible for me to not get affected by her.

"Look, not tonight. I don't want to ruin my alone time." She wanted alone time. I could respect that, not.

"So, even Miss 'I have so many friends and you only have minions' can get lonely?" I acted like I was surprised and she looked over at me shocked. For some reason, I felt like she was shocked that I knew how she felt about me, it was like something was reading her mind off to me.

"No, I just needed some time alone." She emphasized alone so maybe I would get the hint, but I wasn't letting her off that easy. "And when did I ever even say that to you?"

"You never said it, but the looks you give me say it all."

"So you're saying I'm easy to read?"

"No, in fact, you are the hardest to read." She sighed and laid on the grass. I couldn't take my eyes away from the little skin that showed when her shirt riled up. I wasn't usually a perv, but I had to hand it to the girl-she was hot. "How about we call a truce for the night?"
