"It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure." -- Bill Gates
Zoey's P.O.V.
"We have tried a million times! Kim's phone is unreachable!" Lily said exasperated.
"And I've tried over a thousand tracking spells which all lead to a dead end." Karin added.
"What do you mean dead end?" I asked.
"I mean that they all stop at random places all over the map." Karin explained.
"Do these random places have anything in common?" I wondered to myself.
"Nope." Then Karin though about it. "Wait a second, now that I think about it, they all stop around one place in particular."
"And that is?" Lily jumped in.
"You guys remember when we passed the only town on the drive here?" Lily and I nodded. "Well, the spells always end around there. But, the spell doesn't stop in the area."
"What does that mean?" Lily asked.
"No idea. Some sort of barrier, maybe?" Karin replied.
"But now, atleast we know Kim has to be somewhere in that town. We can go get her since it's really close to here." Lily said with relief lacing her face.
"No, we can't." I cut in.
"What? Why?" Lily argued.
"If Andrew has planned for her to be there, then it's obvious that he must have sent some of his 'friends' with Kim to watch her." I put up air quotes with my fingers because we all know that jerk has no friends, only minions. "Also, he must have something else up his sleeve as well. Andrew is not one to go down that easily." I eplained.
"Then what are we going to do?" Lily slumped back on the one seater couch again.
"Not we, me. I will follow through with Andrew's plan. He wants an apology from me? Fine, I will give him one. This fight is between me and him, not anyone else. I will not let anyone else get hurt because of his stupid, childish games." Andrew doesn't care who gets hurt in the cross fire, but I do. My friends should be kept out at all costs.
"But-" Lily started. I haf to cut her off.
"No, let's go." And we headed to the club right after I texted Dean a 'meet you there' as he wouldn't stop calling my phone. How do these guys find out all my contact information anyway? My phone had been going off every second, so I had shut it off a long time back.

Walking into the club, the first thing I noticed was the jerk sitting on the couch, right by the door, surronded by the attention seeking...daffodils. I knew he saw me as his smirk got wider, but even if he did see me, he didn't make a move to show it as he continued to sit in the same position, looking like he owned the place.
I didn't have to walk a step further before Dean was by my side. I wanted to roll my eyes and say, "Heard of personal space?" but held back and opted to just smile politely.
"Hey Dean, what you been up to?" I asked trying my best to be polite and not add, "Except texting and calling me all afternoon like a freakish stalker."
"Nothing much. Just, you know, the usual, hung out with my friends and all that." Yea right, I could clearly see Dean 'trying' to act chill. I would actually think Dean is cute if it wasn't for the fact the great douche had his eyes in our direction. He looked pretty smug as if he could see right through my act.
"Um...can you get me a drink?" I needed Dean to leave me alone for just a minute.
"Sure." And he turned and left. I turned around to face Karin and Lily and nodded at them in reassurance and sent a clear message with my eyes which said "I'll be fine." And then, I was truly alone.
I walked over to where the jerk was seated and walked right in to the middle of the attention seekers and with a deep breath I let out a, "Hey."
"Oh," he said with a taunting tone, "Look who it is. I thought I was going to turn into a ghost and move into the underground part of the campus before you got here." Wait, was he serious? Were their seriously ghosts living under our campus or was it like the trick which was played on every freshmen, back on Earth, saying, "There is a pool on the top floor of our school." I decided it wasn't worth asking and looking like a fool if it was a trick.
"Oh," I used the same tone back, "So, you were waiting for me? What do I owe such a pleasure?"
"Oh you do owe me and you owe me a lot."
"Oh, really? And don't you owe me something as well?" I wanted Kim back before I said sorry. I would actually say sorry to the douche, if it came down to it. But, right now, I needed to play it cool.
"I really don't know what you're talking about. But, if you remember what you have to do then, the stage is all yours." He pointed towards the stage.
"Okay, fine. I'm going on stage." As soon as I said this, he gave me a suspicious look as if he wasn't buying any of it. Oh well.
And so, I headed toward the stage, not missing Andrew's followers who aligned the side and had bags of, I needed to squint my eyes to see clearly, tomatoes and eggs? I wanted to roll my eyes at their idiocracy. Couldn't they think of something more original? Were they seriously thinking about scaring me away by throwing tomatoes at me? Too bad, Andrew doesn't know what I have planned.
On stage, I grabbed the microphone and said loud and clear, "I have something to say..."
Andrew's P.O.V.
I had it all sorted out. Everything was going to be just right. Zoey's going to go up on stage and my club members were standing around the edges of the club. I was going to humiliate her the same way she did when she threw her food in my face or escaped from my grasp in the gym parking lot.
"I have something to say..." Ah, those words are exactly what I want to hear. Go on. Say it.
"And I would like everyone to help me." That's even better. Her words rang loud through the, now, silenced crowd.
"I would very much appreciate it if..." Yes, she's going to say it. Finally!
"-everyone can welcome back Kim!" And then the crowd cheered, "Hi, Kim!"
I can't believe this! That girl thinks its that easy to beat me, I think not! I motioned to my club members to start throwing the items in their bags.
"Woohoo!" Zak wooped in on the cables from the lights near the ceiling. He grabbed Zoey's hand, before she could get hit with an egg, and ended up on the other side of the crowd near the club exit. Then he held up two fingers in mock salute and exited the club with Zoey's hand right in his.
