"Worry does not empty tomorrow of it's sorrow; it empties today of its strength." -- Corrie Ten Boom

After being cooped up with Zak all of my Friday afternoon, I decided we should go out and have fun. But, to my surprise, Zak was two steps ahead of me. He had already made plans for the Anti-Council party and it was going to be tonight. I was so excited that I could barely hold it in. Zak had explained to me that whatever power and connections the Council has with one side of the school, the Anti-Council has the same type of power with the other half. People in the middle, who hadn't decided on a side, were just poor chaps who were subjected to all the cross-fire. Anyway, here I was, standing right dab in the middle of the Anti-Council party.

The Anti-Council party was even cooler than the Council party. The decorations were similiar but, the arrangements were different. There was definitely more spiked drinks and a bunch of hors d'oeurves served out in the yard. The Anti-Council house is also just as big as the Council house, if not roomier and more spacious. This party also happened to be a masked ball!

"Alright everyone, gather around over here." The lights dimmed, the music lowered to just the backgorund and crowd shifted and neared the stage. The annoucer continued, "We are now going to announce our Anti-Council officers." The crowd cheered.

"First up, sitting on our President chair is Zak Rider!" Zak got on to the stage and the crowd blazed up in cheers and whistles. And many pictures were also clipped. I cheered for Zak as the rest of the crowd blazed to life.

"Next up, sitting on our Vice President chair, Lily Hartman!" As the crowd cheered again, I was beyond shocked. No way! So this was what Miss Insidious has been doing the entire time. After my intial shock, I cheered with the rest of the crowd.

"Now, this is a surprise guys. This year, we are adding in a new chair to our main officers. So, without wasting any time, sitting on the Special's chair, Zoey Donovan!" the clowd once again cheered. I started to cheer along, too. I sure wanted to meet- hold the phone! What!

"Zoey Donovan, would you kindly join us on stage here?" I looked up and started walking towards the stage. I wasn't doing it. I am pretty sure Zak used some kind of spell to get my legs to move and stand up on stage. The crowd cheered, again.

"Now, all of our officers would like to deliver a spee-" But, Zak made motions to cut it off with his hand slicing his neck. " A bow." And so, we all bowed, well me being controlled by Zak, whose smirk was evident on his face, and then the lights shut off on stage. Then, I finally snapped out of it and attacked Zak. I put my hands around his neck and threatened, "Are you crazy? You never even asked me!"

"There's good reason to that." Zak said nervously. I noticed he also had the same habit as I did of holding back on the answer until it was directly and properly adressed to you.

"And the 'good reason' being?" I used air quotes again to emphasize my dislike.

He gulped and I could feel it. "If I asked, you would've said no."

"Well, no duh!"

"See, so if I didn't ask you and just went ahead and did it, I figured you'll just have to live with it for a year." He explained.

"Well, do I have a choice?"

"Not really."

"I need a drink." I responded.

"Okay, make sure it doesn't contain herbs or alcohol." He yelled from behind as I walked to the drinks corner. Yea right. I needed a super spiked drink to get the events of today down.

Let's see, first I started a fight between Zak and the douche, which became the top school news of the day. Personally, I found the article about a new clothes shop opening up in the west side of campus more interesting than the fight but, eh, I guess that's just how people think. Next, I here about this entire Anti-Council thing, which I think is a bogus name. I mean, the name of this club seems to make the club sound like its only purpose is to ruin the Council instead of it actually standing for a certain cause. And third, I somehow become an officer of this no life, no meaning club. I only signed up to- yea why exactly did I sign up in the first place? Whatever, atleast I get to go to cool parties and get this mask.
