"I never did a day's work in my life, it was all fun." -- Thomas Edison.
He charged towards Zak and bit him. Zak pushed him off and bled profusely. No! No, no, no, NO! Zak, was hurt badly. He looked out of it, like he was unable to stabilize himself.
"Surrender Zak or else you know what!" Andrew spit out.
"I surrender!" Zak shook his head and got up as he held his neck where Andrew had bit him. The crowd roared as soon as Zak said that.
"Zak, are you okay?" I went to where Zak was standing.
"No, if he doesn't give me his blood, I'll die." Zak responded. What? There was no way I was going to let that happen. I ran up to Andrew, who was standing in the middle of a huge group of people who were congratulating him on who knows what, and pushed him hard, but he didn't seem affected at all.
"Are you out of your mind! How could you do that to Zak? That's clearly cheating!"
"Nope, sorry, sweetheart. There was nothing in the clauses that said that we couldn't do that."
"Andrew, just please, help him!" I was close to tears. If this deal killed Zak, I would never be able to forgive myself.
"Sure, on one condition." I knew it.
"Whatever, please, just help him first."
"You'll do anything?"
"Yes, just help him!"
"Fine." Andrew walked over to Zak and bit into his own wrist. He did it in a way so no one could see except, Andrew, Zak, and me. We stood in a little triangle as Andrew forced Zak to drink his blood, but Zak refused and turned his head to the left. Andrew held him by the neck and shoved his wrist into Zak's mouth and made him drink the blood. Right away, the bleeding stopped and the wound healed. I let out a sigh of relief.
"Not yet, sweetheart, this is just the beginning." He laughed and walked away.

True to his word, the next morning, a note was delivered to me, ordering me to come, alone, to the abandoned science building, a place where the student ghosts hang out. Yes, ghosts do go to college. I found the idea weird at first but it just takes some getting used to. They are considered normal students at MFC. Apparently, the MFC's School of Ghosts has really creative majors. I was in the office the other day and saw the pamphlet of majors offered to ghosts from the Art of Haunting to Introduction to Boo-ology, which was only offered in the first semester. I, personally, wanted to try Introduction to Walking through Walls. I mean how cool would that be?
Anyways, I now had another problem. I had to get Andrew off my back. I know I agreed to do whatever he wants, but knowing him, that could be, literally, anything. I mean I agreed to do anything to save Zak, but now I was nervous. Andrew was the first person to make me nervous. I don't know if I could actually go through with this, but I have no other choice.
I arrived at the abandoned Science building, which was not really abandoned because it did have souls living there, technically, but no one was around. The interior looked just like an old building with furniture wrapped in beige, dusty, clothes. The building had broken wooden floors that showed a glimpse of the roof. There were broken glass windows with dusty wooden frames and the chandeliers looked like they would fall any second, as they were hanging by a thread.
"Hey!" A transparent figure came up to me. "Do I come in your house without knocking or ringing the bell? No, I don't so please refrain from doing that in my house."
"Um, sorry. Mr..."
"Nah, just kidding. I'm, well I used to be, Javier."
"Nice to meet you, Javier. I'm Zoey." I held out my hand for him to shake and he did, but all I felt was a little cold touch.
