"The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing." -- Socrates

Three hours, forty-six minutes, and twenty nine seconds. That's how long Will, Hachi and I have been trying to find a clue. Just one little itsy bitsy clue. But no. We found nothing. There is absolutely nothing in the entire library, witch web or any place else about a Donovan. Well, that's not entirely true. We did find one article about a Donovan family who were crop cutters back in the nineteen hundreds. But, one hurricane blew them all away to another island and all the survivors were found starved to death.

"We know nothing!" I screamed out in frustration.

"Maybe, that's not your real name. Maybe, just maybe you have a different name." Hachi, Will's mate tried to reassure me.

"I'm a dead end. I have no lineage. If I did, we would have found atleast something useful by now." I sighed in frustration. I felt like I was continuously in a bummer mood since we first started the search.

"I think you should try talking to the profressor. Maybe he can help you with the paper or give you another topic. I mean, a lot of other people would've had trouble with it as well if they were orphans or adopted, right?" Will tried to back his mate up.

"Yea, I guess. I will go see him tomorrow before classes." I saw what Will was getting at. Maybe the professor might be able to help. "Alrighty then. I'm gonna go and finish some of my other homework. Bye guys, and don't be too naughty." I shot a wink in their direction before heading out. At which Hachi blushed and threw a couch pillow at me but, I was quick to get out the door.

After doing some more homework, I was exhausted. So, I closed my books, and plugged my headphones into my ear and set it to wake me up in four hours. That way, I would have two hours to finish my work before class.

Again, all night I couldn't sleep because of those stupid words said by some feminine voice. I kept turning and tossing in hopes that the voice would just go away but, to no avail as it managed to keep me up most of the night."Stop digging. You don't need to find anything out. Stop! Stop! Stop, my child! Don't tell anyone. Don't trust anyone! It's not-" And once again, I woke up abruptly and took a shower. I didn't want this to become a routine. I needed my precious sleep and I had to find a way to rid this dumb voice from my head!

After doing some of my homeowork, I headed to the first class of the day. I decided to not go to the professor for help. I don't know why but this voice is controlling and influencing many of my actions. Well, not really controlling but, I feel like I can trust it and follow it's instructions. After all, this voice could've been the one to show me the image of a portal through my mirror the night I entered this part of our Universe.

"Class, this is your very first class of Creature Growth and Development, right?" Miss Krimson asked. Many people responded with yes. "Okay then, today we are going to discuss mates." Many people in the back started screaming stuff like "Oh, yea baby!" or "Naw, mates suck, I wanna stay single the rest of my life!" and I joined in with a "Booo!"  because I was bored out of my mind already and I knew this was going to be a long lecture.

"Yes, yes, settle down. Now, first you must know, everyone does not have a mate. It is more evident in homo lopus, or werewolves and other creatures related to them. But, it doesn't mean there aren't rare cases of mates outside of the werewolf race. Mates are a person's other half. A part of one mate's soul lies in the other. When two mates are united, they create a bond which connects them as one." At this many people cheered because they knew how mate's 'unite.'

"Can someone tell me the three steps of mating?" Miss Krimson continued.

Some guy in the back was wolf whistling every time Miss Krimson turned around. I think she noticed it and had decided to ignore it so far. "Zak, I know you're up there and I know you're the one making all the noise. Get out of my class, right this instance and go attend one of 'your' classes!" She emphasized the word 'your' and pointed towards the exit.
