Ava's POV

"Mom can we leave now?" Sadie says for the 50th time this minute.
"Sadie Marie Peterson, If you ask one more time I will not let you dance at all. We are leaving at 6:30. It is 6:24 now." Mom says from the bathroom.
Sadie rolls her eyes and goes back to making sure her wig is completely perfect.
When mom gets out of the bathroom, Sadie stands up immediately and grabs her bag. I check my outfit, a pink sweater, tan scarf, black skirt, black sheer tights, Cream socks and brown boots, in the mirror. I spent so long picking out my outfit because I get to present the awards tonight! The people asked me when we were getting our dancer bags!
At exactly 6:30 Sadie makes sure that we're all out the door and walking over to the venue. We head in and go to where the dressmakers are. Sadie is getting a Celtic Star again, She tried it on yesterday but it wasn't crystalized yet so the people there did them. The dress is white with some black but the under skirt is pink. And there are some small crystals throughout. Sadie gets to try it on again and it looks amazing! I take a picture for my snap story.
"Baby Sis looking perfect as usual💕" Is what I caption it. She takes it off and puts it in the dress bag. We head into her ballroom and find some Seats. Mom has me and Mia stay in the ballroom to keep our seats while she takes Sadie to the practice room. Sadie's been working so much to win again. Last year was a dream for her when she won...
~Flashback~ (In Sadie's POV)
I got all the 100s! I'm a world champion! They're just going through the overall scores now.
"competitor 108, 500." and our entire group cheers. They go through the rest of the overalls then "Our World Champion in the Girls 10-11 age group is competitor 108, Sadie Peterson from the O'Hannagan Academy, Southern Region, USA!" Mr. Paul lifts me up onto his shoulders and we're all cheering and screaming.
Mom helps me into my dress and I head backstage. We get lined up and we're all so excited! We can see them setting up the awards and then they announce who's giving them out. Finally I don't have to wait anymore to get my globe!
"Let's give a big cheer for our 10-11 girls world champion, from the O'Hannagan Academy, Southern Region USA, Sadddiiiieeeeee Peeeterrrsooonnnnn!" I walk out as calmly as I can because I actually want to run and jump and scream. They put on the Sash. This year the winner gets a white one then 2-5 has black ones. The lady puts the world medal around my neck and then puts on the crown. I climb up on top of the podium and lift the globe as high as I can without dropping it. That thing is heavy!
"Let's welcome on her teachers! Tammie O'Hannagan, Amy O'Hannagan, Kayle Reynolds, Bethany Hamilton, John Young, Sam O'Hannagan!" I put down the globe and run off the podium and hug them. Mr. John picks me up and puts me back up on the podium for the picture. I lift up the globe with Miss Kayle's help and then I put it down so I don't drop it!
They do all the other results then I have to pick it up again. "Okay on the count of 3, up up up. 1 2 3!" and the crowd goes crazy! I can't believe I'm a world champion!
~End Flashback~ (Back to Ava's POV)
Mom and Sadie come back into the ballroom and sit back down with us. Sadie is number 147 and they're starting on 146... She's a bit nervous to have to go first but I don't think she's letting it get to her too much... She heads backstage and then she's gone. About 30 minutes later all the judges are there and they start.
"First on stage are competitors 146, 147 and 148." Sadie walks onstage and dances her jig almost perfectly... It was so stunning. She comes back to us and I give her a big hug and I see she's crying.
"Sadie what's wrong?" I ask her.
"Nothing! I'm just so happy when I'm up on stage dancing!"
