Isabel's POV

"Remember to keep your bum in and don't let your arms flop about. Just go up there and have fun. No pressure." My teacher says to me before I go side stage for my lights round. The stages seem a bit slippery since a lot of people fell. Brynn did and she might have broken her foot! I can't let any of this get to me since lights are my best dance I think. I love being super graceful and everything!
I check my shoes to make sure they're super tied and won't come undone. I hope everything goes perfectly this round!
I really want to win this thing. I've never admitted it to myself or anyone before but I want that champion globe more than anything. Hopefully I'll get it today.
I get into the line up and wait through countless slip jigs until I'm standing at the stairs waiting to walk on. The musicians are doing a great job with the music! They Haven't played the same tune in a row and it's just so entertaining.
"Now onstage are competitors 105 and 106."
We walk onstage and wait for them to start a slip jig. They're playing the Countless Cathleen one from Riverdance! I've watched a video of that so many times I could just go and dance the lead right now! I love this song so much! This is what got me into Irish dance!
I point my toe and start my dance.
"Slide and slide one two change step out and down..." I feel my knee almost hit my nose!
"Point and down scissor up scissor up..." I push myself up off the ground and squeeze my toes as tightly as I can. I go into the next part and me and the girl I'm dancing with almost collide! I quickly move around her so neither of us lose points!
The entire dance seems like a blur. I felt like I was floating on air the entire time! I think it was the best I've ever danced!
We bow and walk off stage and I go back over to my mom and teachers. Mom unzips my dress so I can breathe.
"Isabel that was amazing. You should feel very proud of yourself today." My teacher says
"Thank you." I say between breathes.
They leave, probably to go to another ballroom to watch someone else.
"Belle, After you finished danced they said to me that I was going to be the mom of a world champion! They really think you could win this thing!"
"I dunno mom... Everyone's really good."
"You need to have faith in yourself. Yes everyone's good and it's just up to the judges now."
