Flashback
The hood on the top my head keeps my scalp warm as my hair ruffles out of the openings next to my neck. The grass is soft as i sit on it, the big tree behind me supporting my back as I lean on it. I cradle the guitar close to my chest and it radiates little heat to my chest. My fingers pluck at the strings as I begin to sing.
"Change is something we all go through
But change is something I don't go through
Cause I knew I'll always stay true
To myself and to you
Change is something they all went through
And change is something they dragged you into .." I pause thinking about what to sing next.
"It all went to your head and now you're running back
Into my arms but I won't let you through." I continue. The lyrics hit my like an arrow and I grab my notebook along with my pencil as I scribble the lyrics onto the paper trying hard not to forget them.
"You have a beautiful voice." I hear a thick Irish accent speak from in front of me. The accent startled me, as because you don't hear if much, especially in London.
I look up to the source to find a blonde with a hood wrapped securely around the top of his head with dark sunglasses on, his hands stuffed deep into his pockets.
"Thanks." I smile.
"May I?" He gestures to the space beside me. I'm taken back by his question. Boys don't usually talk to me.
"No. Please, sit." I smile as I slide over a bit. He. Takes a seat next to me, taking his hands out of his pockets.
"I'm Niall by the way." He holds his hand out for me to shake.
It takes all my strength not to go crazy at the sight of one of the most famous men in the world but because I know that he has enough girls screaming in his face, I've decided to give him a break and not scream.
"I'm Catherine." I casually smile and return the gesture, shaking his hand.
"Can I see?" He asks pointing to the guitar. I laugh a little before giving in and letting him hold it. He cradles it and adjusts himself as if ready to play.
He laughs and sends me a smile before he starts plucking.
"Looking for a color in a shade of gray,
Looking for love in a drop of rain.
Trying to find change from the old mundane.
But everything i do just feels the same.
Spending my life out in the desert.
Been gone so long feels like forever.
I just want to be closer to you.
I just want to be closer.
I am yours.
You can have all of me, anything, everything.
I just want to be closer.
A day without you is a thousand years.
A day without you is a million tears.
Tell me why do I run when I am in fear?
Why do i run when you are so near?
Spending my life in the weather.
Been gone so long and I need some shelter.
I just want to be closer to you.
I just want to be closer.
I am yours.
You can have all of me, anything, everything.
I just want to be closer."
My eyes grow wide and I can't help but stare at him. His voice is so angelic and it brings goosebumps to the surface of my skin. People say perfection is impossible in a human being. But this boy is the definition of perfect.
"Catherine?" His voice brings me back to reality.
"Y-You have a beautiful voice." The words roll off the tip of my tongue.
"Crap." I mutter to myself slapping my forehead against the palm of my head in embarrassment.
"Thank you." He laughs. I look up and he has his fingers gripped to the sides of his sunglasses. As the sunglasses come off the bridge of his nose, icy blue eyes come into view. Their beautiful and I can stare at them all day. He smiled a perfect smile as he pulls his hood down. I continue smiling at him like an idiot but his face grows confused.
"Y-You're not doing anything." He says in astonishment.
"Why? Should I be doing something?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows.
"Well, girls usually scream in my face." He looks down with a grin while giggles escape his lips.
"I don't think you're scary." I say concerned. He breaks out into a fit of laughter and I'm left there confused.
"Not like that but like, in a different way, cause you know. I'm famous and all." He places quotation marks with his fingers around the word famous.
"Well, to me, you're a normal person so I'm going to treat you like any other normal person." I smile and his smile grows bigger as his pearly white teeth glisten in the sunlight.
"Hey, y-you wanna go grab some lunch?" He stutters as he brings his sunglasses up to the bridge of his nose.
"I would love to."
Flashback end
"You have no idea how much strength it took me to not scream in your face. In that moment, I swear I was the luckiest girl in London." I whisper as my head rests on his chest, listening to the beat of his heart.
"And I was the luckiest man on Earth."
I look up to him to find him already looking down at me. I climb on top of him and rest my forehead against his, our noses touching with a smile. My eyes close slowly.
"I love you." I whisper.
"I love you too." He says before grabbing my waist and pushing me against him and connecting our lips. He sits up, never disconnecting our lips and his hands roam my torso. I play with his hair as our kiss gets deeper. I feel his tongue against my bottom lip asking for entrance and I immediately part my lips to allow him in. Our tongues fight for dominance in our mouths and his hands end up on the hem of my shirt. I disconnect my lips from his for a split second and raise my arms allowing him to remove my t-shirt.
I forcefully connect my lips to his again before returning the gesture and removing his t-shirt off his perfect torso. My fingers slide down his abs in awe. I look up to meet his eyes and he has a smirk on his face.
We reconnect our lips and his hands almost immediately goes to my back. After getting my bra off he pushes me back allowing me to land on my back, straddling him. Giggles escape our lips.
My hands slide down to the hem of his pants. I decide to take dominance and flip him over for me to be on top, but forgetting that we are on a couch, we end up falling to the floor.
Niall's arms are wrapped tightly around my waist and we laugh loudly in unison at our silliness.
"I can't imagine a life without you." He laughs before placing a small kiss on my nose.
