A/N

So, today's new update coincides with David Tennant's birthday. Councidence? I think so! ;) hehe.
Just wanna take a moment before y'all read the chapter to say happy birthday to an idol of mine! And for this fan fiction, which wouldn't have been possible had Tennant not have been such as awesome Kilgrave. Anyway... Enjoy readers! Thank you so much for your support so far. Please vote and comment! Love to read your reactions and comments on the story 😁

The van pulled to a halt, and the doors burst open. Two men dragged me out by my feet, my head slamming to the tarmac as it made contact, thumping. We were outside a bar, obviously one that Jessica drunk at.
"Come on then, boys." The first kick was delivered into my stomach, making me curl up. Hard kicks began all over, and the pain was almost unbearable. The force I used not to heal myself emanated in my hands, in binding me as I tried to protect my face, I yelled for help.

"Hey!" A woman shouted, and immediately the men turned around.

"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" A deep, masculine voice said, who were they?

"Like you?" One of the men said, and immediately they all ran towards the two silhouettes. They threw them over their shoulders and knocked them to the ground like they were nothing, it was definitely Jessica Jones.
I backed up against the wall, blood running down my nose and a shallow pool developing in my mouth, a dull ache appearing everywhere over my body.

"Hey, what happened?" The male appeared, an extremely strapping dark skinned man, his shirt was ruled but there wasn't a mark on him.

"Luke, that's Amanda, Kilgrave's bitch." I flinched slightly when she came into view, a few cuts on her face, her knuckles bloody.

"For your information." I spat the blood out, grabbing my ribs and wincing. "He's the one that did this to me. I never want to see him again." A tear breached my eye, channeling the forever silent Joy's thoughts.

"You said that before, you were still being controlled." I scoffed, pushing on the floor to try and get up.

"Whatever. I'll find my own way home." I hobbled down the road, turning my back on Luke and Jessica, hoping they would ask me to stop.

"Wait. You can't go anywhere alone in your condition." Luke rose his voice slightly, but I kept walking.

"I don't need your help." I tried to laugh but fell to the pavement, flat on my face. Footsteps rushed next to me, and immediately I felt strong arms lift me up.

"Looks like it." Luke's face stays stern, Jessica's one of protest. "Let's take her back to yours."

"No way." Jessica and I stay together, but I was slowly dipping in and out. Not healing myself was taking its toll on me.

"Look, this obviously isn't an act. If we hadn't have come out tonight Kilgrave would have had those men kill her. We'll cuff her to the bed until we're sure the compulsion is out of her system, and then ask her questions about where to find him."

"I don't know where he is." I said, and it was the truth. Well, sort of. He had never disclosed the exact location, and the last time I had ventured out in the taxi I was too busy daydreaming to realise what turns we were taking.

"Come on, Jess. Wouldn't her parents like to know that you found their daughter?"

"Wait, my... My parents?" I asked, closing my eyes. I felt myself go limp in Luke's arms, it was nice to finally rest.
