I was expecting to be woken up by a knock on my door, but instead I was awoken by the sounds of neighbours outside, cutting their grass and kids riding around on bikes. It must be a Saturday. Stretching I sat up, seeing that I had slept in the room Kilgrave had provided for me, one with ample space and homely enough for me to almost enjoy my night, except for the fact that my dream was still haunting me from the night before.
It had been about what had happened at the lab, and the ever revolving question about who I really was, and who my parents really were.

Pushing those thoughts down, not wanting it to spoil the day, I got dressed and headed downstairs, smelling the food before even opening the door to the kitchen.
"Joy! Good morning." Kilgrave was sat at the table with a paper and a cup of tea, along with a huge array of food, from a buffet of a fry up to various fruits and yoghurts, spoilt for choice wasn't in it.
"Dig in, its just been served." Kilgrave said, taking a sip of his tea before putting it down quickly. "If you would like to, of course." I nodded and smiled slightly, the fog that had been approaching my head immediately disappearing.

"Thank you." I said quietly, taking a seat opposite him and putting a few things on my plate, enjoying every bite of what I was eating.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked me as I finished a mouthful of food, and immediately thoughts of last nights dream invaded my thoughts.

"I did." I lied, even though I had slept straight through until morning, I had tossed and turned until well into the night, trying to distract my thoughts from the events that were running around in my head.

"Good, I'm glad to hear it." Kilgrave folded his paper away, grabbing a piece of toast and taking a bite out of it, continuing our conversation. "So, would you like to do something today?" He asked, clearly forcing himself to make himself ask, not tell.

"You mean go outside?" I asked, sad that I even had to ask that question, but such was the situation I was in.

"Yes. There is a nice park not too far from here, if you want we can spend the day there." I narrowed my eyes, something wasn't right with Kilgrave. Although I knew he was trying not to control me, this seemed... too try hard.

"Quit playing around." I said, earning a scoff from the Purple Man.

"Playing around?" He asked, taking another mouthful of his tea. "I was merely asking if you wanted to do something today." He looked me dead in the eye when he answered, which meant he was likely telling the truth, although with Kilgrave I could never be too sure.

"Why not, it's not like I have anywhere else to be." I said, finishing my plate.

"No..." He seemed a little hurt by that comment, placing his cup down on the table. "Excuse me." He said, standing up and leaving the kitchen in a swift manner.

"Right, ok then..." I replied, watching him leave the room. Turning my attention back to the cook, I saw the amount of food left over.
"Is it possible to share this food with the people posted around the house?" I asked, seeing the chef ignore me.
"Excuse me." I stood up and saw that he was turning around, a knife against his throat.

"I was told not to talk to you. If I did I was to slit my throat. He told me to tell you not to talk to anyone else either." I raised my hands up, backing away.

"Ok, ok. Please just put the knife down. I'll leave. Please." I begged, backing out of the kitchen. My anger consumed me, he was making sure I couldn't even talk to anyone, so that I would have no clue on how to leave this place. There was a guard placed inside the front door, forcing me to look for Kilgrave upstairs.

"Kilgrave!" I yelled, walking down the hallway to his bedroom. Storming into the room I looked around to see a door open, a naked Kilgrave stepping out.
"Jesus!" I turned around, my mouth gaping. Why the hell was he coming out of his bathroom naked!

"The towel is in front of you." I heard his voice, along with a chuckle.

"You told your staff they weren't to speak with me." I said, grabbing the towel and chucking it backwards.

"Ah yes, wondered how long it would take you to find out. No one got hurt, I hope?" His voice seemed louder, like he was approaching me, I didn't have to be looking at him to see the smirk on his face right now.

"No, I was sensible enough to leave. That's why I thought I'd come and find you." I clenched my fists, furious that he would pull a stunt like this. But why was I so angry? It wasn't simple anger, it was almost like rage, rage because I knew he was better than that.

"So you thought you'd confront me. Well." I felt his torso press against my back, his hand move my hair from my collarbones and then grab my chin. "Here I am." My breathing was ragged, so much so that all I could do was stand there like a statue, unable to move.
"Well? What was it you wanted?" My heart pounded, my head clouding over as a remote triggered a hand, sifting through my thoughts to dig out what I truly wanted.

"I want to..." I tried to resist, pausing as much as I could between my breaths.

"Hmm?" Kilgrave hummed, his hand twisting my chin up to his head, his eyes almost closed as he leaned into me.

"I want to kiss you." What am I saying!? Internally I was screaming, I was still raging. "But I'm still mad at you." I added, thankfully that was the truth too, but it didn't stop him.

"Then do it." He let go of me briefly before yanking on my shoulders to turn me around and pushed me against the wall, making me think back to the hotel room again.
There's no one to interrupt us now. I thought, leaning in to touch his lips. This time he was the one in the bath towel, for which I was rather thankful for.

Kilgrave immediately pushed against me, his naked torso against my t-shirt as he deepened the kiss, his hands exploring my waist. He was in total control, but I was also giving myself completely to him, allowing him what I knew he had wanted for months now. Since becoming myself I knew what kind of monster he was, but right now, I didn't care.

No words were spoken as Kilgrave pulled away, slowly taking my top off. I try to move to speed him up, but he stops and shakes his head.

"Slowly." He all but whispered, leaning forwards and kissing my neck.

"I shouldn't be doing this." I said, Kilgrave pulling back with a frown.

"I don't think that." He replied, taking a step back and letting me have my space.

"I know. It's just... I don't know right now." I said, leaning against the wall and running my hands through my hair.

"Don't know?" Kilgrave enquired, stepping towards me again, making me look away from him. "Joy. Look at me." Words that I couldn't disobey me, I found myself staring into his eyes. "Can I ask you if you want this?" Kilgrave asked.

"You're asking?" I raised an eyebrow, obviously knowing what his intentions are. He nodded.

"Yes. I said I wouldn't control your choices. I meant that." He sounded serious, but he already had.

"You've already controlled me though." I retorted, taking a deep breath. I nodded, suddenly feeling the butterflies in my stomach appear and take over. "Ask me." I looked away briefly before I looked at him directly in the eyes.

"Do you want me? Answer truthfully." He smirked, confident in himself. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath and let the fog take over my mind, the feeling actually rather comforting.

I had my answer.
