"She couldn't have just disappeared. Joy said she'd call us and I believe her." Trish sighed, flicking through Joy's files once again. Something wasn't adding up here, there were some conflicts in the dates and the more Trish looked them up the more she came to believe that something wasn't right.

"Who knows how deep Kilgrave had gotten with her. She could come back and try to kill us. I'm not taking any chances." Jessica huffed, almost annoyed at Trish for letting Joy go without her. Jessica felt she should have ended it when Joy was here, gotten the address out of her and then gone and killed Kilgrave once and for all.

"You really have no faith in her, do you? I know she seems vulnerable but she's known him since she was a kid. Since they were both kids-"

"When it comes to Kilgrave, once he gets up here..." Jessica pointed to her head. "There's no telling what you're capable of. You know what he made me do." Trish nodded, keeping quiet whilst her best friend flicked through some more pages of the files. "There's got to be something here."

Sighing, yet another hour passed. Time moved extremely slowly now, Kilgrave sending his henchmen up to give me food and drink, not bothering to make an appearance even once. That was a good thing though, because it gave me time to think. Think about what happened yesterday. He kissed me. Not only that, but I started to kiss him back.

My stomach still tied itself in knots at the thought, I mean why was I so confused about it? He was keeping me here against my will, and with all the terrible things he had done in the past... I just didn't know anymore.

"Argh!" I slammed my head into the pillow. My thoughts causing turmoil throughout my body.

"Joy." Oh great. Now he decides to show up.

"What do you want." I snap, hearing the bedroom door open.

"I would like to invite you to dinner. You've been up here for almost three days." He sounded worried, stop confusing me goddammit!

"Oh." I replied, staying facing away from him, not wanting to see his face.

"Well?" He asked again, and I felt his weight shift onto the bottom of the bed. His hand carefully placed itself on my ankle, making me flinch and sit upright.

"Don't touch me." I growled, a clear warning after the last time. He raised his hands as a smirk tugged on his lips, and he shook his head.

"We will be ready to leave in an hour. I bought something for you to wear." Wait. Leave?

"We going out?" I asked, seeing Kilgrave get handed a large lilac box with decorative ribbon around it.

"Yes. To our favourite restaurant." Kilgrave nodded, and handed me the box. "Go on, open it." I looked up at him and frowned, he knew that was a command. He stood there and tucked his hands in his pockets, that smirk widening as I saw his eyes tell me that he wasn't giving me a choice in the matter.

Opening the box I saw a dark blue dress, decorated with a deep purple belt that hung down the back of the dress. I was pleasantly surprised, I always thought he would have made me wear yellow dresses like the ones in the wardrobe of this room. "Do you like it?" He asked, seeing my reaction."

"I wouldn't have pegged you to pick it out, if that's what you mean." Kilgrave's smirk dropped instantly and he snatched the box away from me, leaving me with just the dress.

"Hurry up and get ready. I shall be downstairs." He said, spinning on his heel.

"Good." I mumbled, looking at the dress to see him stop at the corner of my eye.

"Take that hairbrush and brush your arm with it until I stay stop." My eyes widened as I did what he said, the sharp bristles itching my skin at first, but slowly they began to scratch and hurt. "Come on, a little harder."

"Kilgrave, stop this." I said, continually scratching my arm with the hairbrush, which was now starting to draw blood.

"Shut up." He growled. Watching me scratch my arm again and again, blood now trickled down my arm and dripped onto the carpet. My eyes begged him, my lips quivering at the pain as a tear ran down my cheek. I didn't know how to heal myself properly.
"Ok, ok stop. Drop the hair brush." Immediately letting go of the hairbrush my legs collapsed beneath me and let me sit on the floor, my arm covered in pricks from the bristles of the hair brush.
"I'm sorry." He said, walking over to me and encasing me in a hug, seeming like he cared. No. I thought. This is proof, proof that he doesn't care.
"Come on, let's get you cleaned up and then you can get changed." He pulled me up to my feet to examine my arm, walking me to the bathroom. "Sit." He said and pointed to the counter. Hoisting myself up I sat there in silence whilst he got himself a flannel, covering it with warm water.
"This will sting." He warned, placing it down onto my arm. Sucking in a sharp breath I bared the pain, closing my eyes and trying to focus on getting the abrasions in my arm to heal. I couldn't curse because he had told me to shut up, but believe me I tried. I settled after the first few strokes of the flannel, and after he had finished cleaning the wound he kneeled down to get the first aid kit. I sat there in silence, Kilgrave merely staring intently at the wound he had caused me to self inflict upon myself.
"This should do it. Hm? I take it Amanda kept how your powers work a secret..." Kilgrave nodded mumbling to himself, placing a small piece of gauze with Savlon cream on and bandaging it up to make sure it didn't get infected. I merely nodded, still unable to get a word out. This man was confusing the heck out of me. "Right. Get changed and we'll go and eat, hurry up." Nodding I walked to the bedroom, looking at my now bandaged right forearm. It was sore, but hopefully if I focused on repairing the cells my powers would kick in and heal me, hopefully.

Quickly changing into the dress of Kilgrave's choosing I slipped some plain dolly shoes on that were in the wardrobe and made my way downstairs. Seeing Kilgrave as I reached the bottom of the stairs, I noticed that he seemed to be sharply dressed, his hair more slick than usual and his tie neatly in the middle of his shirt, his dark, deep purple blazer adjusted to perfection... Oh my god what the hell are you saying.

"You look stunning." Kilgrave smirked, snaking a hand around my waist. I couldn't help but blush slightly, any compliment given by a man still affecting me. "What about me?" He asked, and again unable to speak I just nodded.

"Speechless?" He chuckled, and I turned my blush into a scowl, looking away. "I'm joking. Of course you love what in wearing." My brain switched and all of a sudden his purple blazer became brighter, my hatred for that colour dissipating as I began to like his outfit. "You may speak freely, just don't be rude." He chuckled, leading us out the door.

"You suit suits." I replied, smiling. It wasn't the compliment he was looking for but it was the only one he was going to get.

"And you suit dresses. I should make you wear them more often." His hand kept its level, and in all honesty I was surprised it hadn't snuck any lower than my waist.

"No, you shouldn't." I shook my head, seeing the black SUV with his security detail waiting for us. "Where are we going?" I asked, looking up at him to see him admiring me. I immediately looked away, blushing. Why the hell was I blushing!

"To eat. It's a surprise." Kilgrave's smirk widened, and before long we had both sat in the car and were on our way to dinner.

So far, so good.
