It's cold, wind blowing, snow falling. I stand alone in the cold, hurting, breaking, falling like the snow. I am alone in the cold, no one to keep me warm, no one to hold me close, no one to warm my ice cold heart. I walk to the water, feeling the chilling water touch my bare skin. I shiver at the water but keep walking into the water, no longer caring. I ignore the voices in my head screaming for me to go back, back to safety, back to the warmth of the fire. The water covers most of my body as I continue walking. The water chilled me to the bone but i didn't care, there was no one there for me to go back for. I was alone in that small cottage by the ocean shore. I couldn't tell if tears were falling or it was the ocean mist that was spraying my face, but I know some liquid was streaming down. Standing still, waves crashing one after another, I could hear screams, screams calling for me, but I was alone, alone in the cold.
