She accepts the hits, given up on fighting for justice. The days pass, the marks increase, her soul dies from the pain. She watches the smiles of children as they play outside her window, their smiles the only thing that holds her together. She thinks to herself, 'One day, I will be free. One day, I will love again. One day, I'll watch my own children grow happily. But when will be that day.' Day after day, she waits for a chance. Day after day, the children out her window grow older. Day after day, those once bright smiles fade into the darkness she's knew her entire life. Day after day, she gives away part of herself to the people who cause her pain. A few years later, the girl is on her own, strong and independent. More time passes, she owns her own little business and has found the one she loves. Soon she's married with kids of her own, bright smiles on their faces remind her of her struggles and push her to move forward, treating the ones she loves right and working for a bright future.
