Screams echo my mind as I race around the track. The wind bites at my skin, sweat gluing the clothes to my form. It wouldn't change a thing if it was pouring cats and dogs at this point. It was such a sweetly bitter moment, such a chilling burn. Dropping to the ground, my body struggles and fights for oxygen between the coughing fits. The aching in my chest causes tears to run down the terrain of my face onto the track. The pain clutches my heart and rips it out of it place, ripping my soul from my body and crushing it to dust. A numbness spreads through my body, sending a delightful pain through my broken mind. I couldn't feel the pain of them again. Pulling myself up, I start running again, taking on each obstacle as if it was natural. It got dark, the lights around the field flicker on. I fell time after time, only to raise like the sun each morning. Tears from the sky drop down, making the teach slippery. In a split second, my body was airborne, soaring through the air onto the grassy area off to the side of the track. The pain rippled through my body, like ripples on water. The pain forces the numbness away and forced screams out of my mouth.
