-Recap-

I looked at Matt and he smiled smugly at me. I was one hundred percent sure that he wouldn’t let it go and I knew for a fact that he would tease me to death with his new knowledge.

I looked at Mom and she smiled smugly too. She also wouldn’t let it go and she would grill me with a lot of questions.

At the same time, someone was trying to open the door. I guessed James and the others were coming back. I thought it would be better if I was really fainted.

Mom was going to open the door. But before that she stopped for a little while and warned Matt first, ”If you don’t want to become a dead-meat. I suggest you don’t say your name!” I looked at Matt and I saw his face. There was a mix of shock and horror, I couldn’t help but laughing.

Before I finished my laughter, Mom opened the door. I bet all of the intruders --my brothers and James-- heard my laughter clearly. All of them were running to me and hugging me. They started to talk at the same time again. Mainly, they were just saying sorry for making me agitated and even fainted. The one who looked guilty the most was Chase. Well, you should be; dude! I glared at him and he flinched. He mumbled sorry to me and it softened me. He was just trying to be my big brother after all. I sighed and nodded at him. It meant that I was forgiving him. We were communicating through our gestures only. It was because the others kept talking loudly. It was impossible for us to talk louder than them.

“Shhhh . . . Please talk quietly in here. This is a hospital. We have to think about the other patients too.” Matt said in his sexy nurse tone. Whoa . . . Matt and sexy word kept popping out on the same sentence. But that was the truth for me. He was that sexy. I couldn’t forget about that part.

Everyone stopped talking after they heard what Matt had just said. The only one who talked after that was James, “Thanks son for saving my girl!” I could see that Matt felt uncomfortable with his gratitude. Well, he actually didn’t do anything. I was just pretending after all. I could feel that Mom snickered. Luckily, Ben was too innocent to understand that I was just pretending to faint. If he knew, I bet he could blurt it out accidentally.

“Er—James, I mean Dad, don’t you think that you are too exaggerating? It’s not like I’m going to die.” I rolled my eyes at him.

“You could be!” All of them said at the same time, except Mom, of course! I felt bad, because they really cared about me. But there was nothing else I could do. I didn’t want Matt to die. Well, I was a bit exaggerating, but you knew what I meant. He was too sexy to die. Oh Rose! Since when did you become a pervert? I mentally talked to myself. To be more exact, I only become a pervert toward Matt. Well, I guessed I was having Matt-fetish, while Matt had butt-fetish. Perfect couple, huh?

“Well, I did nothing, Sir. So, you don’t have to thank me.” Matt said in a polite tone.

“Call me James, son! You are a good kid and you just helped us by catching Rose before she fell on the floor.” James said that nicely. Oh, if you only knew Dad! You wouldn’t call him a good kid. I snickered inside my mind.

“Okay sir, you can call me Ma . . .” He almost blurted out his name. I didn’t know whether he didn’t listen to my Mom or he was just simply forgotten about it. This idiot! Did he really want to die? I cut him off, “Dad, I’m so tired.”

James heard me and looked at me sympathetically. After that, he decided to go home with all the kids. Mom was the only one who would stay with me. All of them kissed and hugged me one by one, before they left the room.

I looked at Ben and realized something. Why didn’t he say anything about Matt? After almost all of my brothers and James were outside my hospital room, I called Ben again. Lucky for me, he was the last on the line. I asked him about it in a quiet tone, because I didn’t want anyone to hear what I was about to say, “Ben, why didn’t you tell the others about Matt? And thank you for that!”
