The last few days of Mom's wedding preparation were hectic. Everyone was so busy and I wished that I could help more, but thankfully they never left me out. I really do have a wonderful family. Thank you God!
Mom and I went to try on our gowns; they were made by my Mom's best friend, Stella McCartney. Have you ever heard of her? I heard that she was very famous. It made me want to see her beautiful works. Mom told me that they met at college. At first, they were enemies because according to Mom, Stella fell in love with my father too!
Wow . . . I wondered how handsome he was when he was younger. Even a freaking famous designer had a crush on him! Mom never did tell me how exactly they became best friends. But I bet there was a funny story behind that.
I touched Mom's gown and I could feel that it was beautiful. The wedding gown was made of satin-polyester and organza material. I could feel the hand-beaded details on the bodice. I tried to imagine it was being so stunning. I could feel the full gathered skirt, I imagined the shape in my mind and I knew that Mom would look beautiful. She would become the most beautiful bride in the world for me.
Next was the veil, Mom chose a two layer-wedding veil with pearls lining the edges of the veil. A slide comb was attached to the veil to keep it secured in Mom’s hair on the day of her wedding.
After Stella finished fitting the wedding dress, she started fitting my own Maid-of-Honor gown. I could feel the beauty my dress too. It was a full-length halter dress in flowing chiffon and it had a lace midriff to enhance my waist. Wow . . . I felt so pretty, even without seeing the dress. Oh yes! My Mom said the colour was white and the lace midriff was black. She said that I looked so beautiful when I wore that dress.
Other than that, I just helped them by testing the taste of the cake -my favourite part, of course! Who could resist chocolate cake, certainly not me-. I also helped Mom chose the flowers for the decorations. I helped her by smelling them, of course. We were all so exhausted, even my new brothers had to run so many errands, but all of us were happy doing it. Luckily, they planned a simple wedding with only James and Mom's close friends, relatives, and some of my brothers' friends. Honestly, I didn't have any friends, except Nadya. So, I only invited her.
All of us were pretty nervous waiting for the big day. I hoped everything would run smoothly.

I woke up and felt giddy, because it was the wedding day! We went to the salon and let them work their magic on us! They curled my hair and made it flow naturally. They put a flower on my left ear. I couldn't tell exactly about Mom's hairstyle, but from what they said, I knew that it was styled in an elegant bun, before they put on the veil. Aunt Stella was the one who gave advice on our make-up and hairdo. After that, we changed into our gowns and went to the chapel.
