Brantley's Pov
I was in the backyard mowing the yard, just thinking about all the things that has happened over the past 2 months. I got home from tour, cheating on my wife with Jana, fighting with Vi, Jana moving in and out of the house, my poor kids don't know what to think I do know. I know I really need to start think more of my family, but I need to be happy as well. I know this much I need to think on who I want to bring with me on vacation with me and the Aldean family.
I just done mowing and I put the tractor in the shed, when I saw a taxi leave the house. I walked into the house as fast as I could. When I got in the kitchen I saw my mama walking in to the house. Oh no. Who called her? Why is she here? Does she know about me and Vi? Whatever it is I can't let her know? I just can't.
" Mama what are you doing here?" I asked her, giving me a hug. One thing about my mama is when she is here, she thinks she owns this place. Plus with all the bags I saw her with I know she is going to be here for a while.
" Well, I'm here to spend 3 weeks with my son and my favorite daughter in law and there wild bunch of kids?" Mama told me. I looked down at her. She don't really mean all of that?
" Where is Kolby at? Mama you know how he is when you are gone for a long time?" I said to her. Mama walked into the kitchen getting food out of the fridge all ready. I looked at the clock and saw it was only noon.
" Kolby can hadel 3 weeks with out me. I've missed my son and my grandkids. Plus Vi and I haven't talked in a long time and I need to see Sadie? I knew I should had moved down here with her when she moved down here? Where is Vi at?" Mama asked me. I looked away from here. Calm down Brantley, just stay cool.
" She's out for the day. You know what I'll go and call her and tell her that you are here? I'm going to take a shower. Vi would kill me if she knew I wasn't cleaned up and in her kitchen?" I said to my mama, running away from her. I ran up to my bedroom and shut the door. I grabbed my cell and called my wife. She is going to love this?
" Hello Brantley?" Vi said to me on the cell phone.
" Vi, Vi I need you?" I said to her.
" What happened? Brantley are you okay? Did the school call you on Asa or Ivy?" Violet asked me.
" No, no, no, no, no, no, we have a small problem?" I said to her.
" What? Brantley what is wrong?" Vi asked me.
" My mother is here?" I said to her.
" Becky is here from Georgia? Why?" Vi asked me. I walked into the bathroom and turned the shower on.
" I don't know, but I need you and the kids to move back home?" I asked her. I was taking my pants off.
