Brantley's Pov
The seconds have turned into minutes, the minutes turned into hours and the hours have turned into days and now it's been a week, since I've seen my kids and it's been a week since Vi and I got into the fight. Why? Why did I have to cheat on Violet? I mean she was the best thing to happened to me. Yes I do love my singing career and the making music videos and all the things that go along with it, but why do I have all of this fame and fortune without someone to spend it all with.
Violet was there with me from the very beginning. She never asked for nothing. I hated it when she was working 2 jobs to support all of us. All she wanted was to be a mother. She's a very good one at her job. She's kind, sweet, responsible, trustworthy she is everything I'm not. I was lucky to have her.
When Vi and her mama moved her from the big city, I knew I was going to love her, even at 13 years old and Vi was 10, I knew I was going to call her my wife. I was lucky when I was 17 to call her mine. I remember that day like it was yesterday. It was summer of my Junior year of high school and Vi's freshmen year we was down at the creek.....
FLASHBACK
It was hot outside so a few of my friends and I got in my truck so we could go down to the creek for a swim.
We just got to the creek, so the boys and I took off all of our clothes and drove right on in the creek butt naked.
We was swimming around and playing, just having a great time when I looked up and saw Violet sitting on the rock looking at the sky. Only my friends knew that I had a small crush on Violet. I was looking at her, when Freddie splash me with a lot of water.
" Go and talk to her?" Freddie said to me. I looked back at him.
" Dude, you are so in love with her?" Jack told me.
" Nah, I'm too old her her?" I told them all.
" BG age is just a number. You're a Junior and Violet is going to be a Freshmen. That ain't bad." Fredding told me.
" I'll be right back?" I told them.
I swam over to the edge of the creek bed and put my pants back on. I was walking over to her. I could smell her sweet french perfume from away back here.
I took a seat next to Vi. She smiled at me.
" What are you doing here?" I asked her. She looked up at me.
" Nothing better to do?" Vi told me. I was smiling at her.
" Yeah that is true?" I told her.
" What are you doing here?" Vi asked me.
" Well, Jackie and Freddie and I went swimming." I told her.
