After school, I headed toward the school gates. While I was walking, I noticed many students herding out of the school and staring at me, along with fingers pointed. I hadn't known if they either were showing the expressions of themselves because of my speech of Janice during Sweet Seat, or because somehow Janice spread rumors. Once I reached the gates, I sat down, my back against the metal bars. I zipped open my backpack and retrieved my sketchbook that I always drew in during free time, or at the house. Of course, I wouldn't draw during class time. Yeah, I know your saying nerd, but hey. You need to pay attention for your future!
I grabbed a loose pencil in the bottom of the bag, and started to draw. I always drew stuff like animals, or fiction lands with weird creatures. But, I drew Lucas and I, embraced with each other as we watched the coruscating sunset vanish beneath the hill. I smiled at the amazing artwork done in front of me. "Faith!" Grace called out. I looked up, seeing the presence of Lucas and Grace walking over to me. I waved, and they sat down beside me on each side. "What you drawing?" Grace asked, resting her arm on my shoulder. "Lucas and I," I told, without hesitation. "Oh my– you're a talented drawer!" Lucas said, his eyes widened as he looked over my shoulder. I shrugged and closed the book. "Not really. I just draw humans pretty well," I said, standing up.
"Well, I'm gonna head home. I'm not feeling so hot. I shouldn't have eaten that sandwich at lunch. I'll see you tomorrow, babe," Lucas said, kissing my head and walking off. Grace had jumped in the bus, and right before I could step in, the bus driver held out his hand. "Sorry Faith. Bus is full."
"What? Can't I just sit or stand somewhere?" I asked. Mr.Hank gently shoved me off of the stairs, and closed the door. I saw Grace looking out of the window at me as the vehicle drove off. I walked on the sidewalk on my way to my house. I heard a car zoom behind me, and my first instinct was to look behind me to the car. Oh, it was Janice with her girls in a pink Lamborghini. "Hey Faith! How are you?" Janice asked, putting the car in break. "I'm, good I guess. You?" I ask, trying to be friendly so I could leave. "I'm fine. Do you like Bertha?" Janice asked, resting her arm on the window. "Bertha? There's only three people in there." "My car," Janice replied, obviously annoyed.
"Sorry just point that out more then," I mumble. "Wanna hop in?" Janice asked. I stood there for a moment, confused. "I'm okay.. But why are you acting so nice?" I ask. "You know, how during Sweet Seat, you told me people die from what I've been doing?" I nodded. "Well, I'm going to act nice to you only so I can make you suffer and not 'die' from being rude to you. Tootles!" Janice said, driving off and blasting her "Hotline Bling" on the radio. "That did not make sense what so ever," I said, continuing strolling to my house.

I woke up to a message on my phone. I checked it, and it was Lucas. He told me that he wasn't going to school because of his stomach bug. I got ready, ate breakfast, brushed teeth, and headed off to the front of the house and waited for the bus. The bus came, but I noticed it was my original bus driver. "Where's Mr.Hank?" I asked the new driver. "He's the driver of Bus A1. I'm your new scheduled bus driver, Hollow. Welcome to Bus B2. Take your seat," Ms.Hollow spoke, slowly. I didn't reply back, and I looked down the ally of people.
At least no Janice. But I couldn't sit with Grace or Lucas now, even though Lucas was sick. I heard someone call my name from the back seats. Who was that?
It was Winter. She actually took the bus from how rebellious she was? My frown from the change had shifted to a smile and I walked to Winter. "You really take the bus?" I joked, putting my backpack on the floor and sitting next to her. "Yep. Surprising, right?" Winter responded. I nodded. "It sucks to be moved from my normal bus. But at least you were here," I told Winter, looking at her. "Nah, I just snuck in through the window," Winter said, nudging my arm. I looked at her, confused. "Kidding with ya," Winter joked.
I smiled. The rest of the bus ride we stayed quiet, out of things to talk about. We arrived at the school and hopped out together, meeting Grace. "Hey girls!" Grace waved. We both waved back, and met up by the oak tree. "Shoot! I have a music meeting right now! See you girls at lunch!" Grace said, running off. "That was a quick greet," Winter laughed. Then, Janice and her girls walked up to us.
