"Did you really tell them both that?" I asked Winter, who was now beside me. "Basically, yeah. But why didn't you just let me get beat up? Now they're going to be mad at you," Winter said, slouching against the seat. "I'm your friend... That's honestly a stupid question," I replied, smirking. I've never seen Winter act like this before.
"So," I said, breaking the silence. "Let's not ditch today, or ever, alright?" I asked. Winter just shrugged, and looked out the window. "Well, school is just a block away." "Uh huh."
Once the bus reached the school, I hopped out of the bus with Winter slowly behind me. I walked towards the oak tree, where Lucas and Grace had been standing. "Hey guys," I said, waving. Grace waved, as if nothing had happened yesterday. Lucas waved silently. Once Winter and I reached where the two were, I sat beside the stump. "So did Lucas and you apologize?" Grace asked, sitting beside me. "No, but I will," I mumbled, distracted by grabbing my drawing book. "Then do it!" Grace demanded, nudging me. I closed my book and placed it on the grass in front of me.
"Lucas?" I asked, still sitting. "Hm," He said, his arms crossed. "I'm sorry," I quietly spoke. "Same," he replied. Then the awkward silence came. "Wanna go bowling tomorrow?" Winter asked, shrugging. "Sure," Grace said, now optimistic. Lucas and I nodded, as I stood up. I hugged Lucas by the waist, and I noticed that he smiled and hugged me back. "Love you," I whispered. "Love you," Lucas whispered back, kissing my head.

It was the 2nd period, and I had to use the lady's room. I excused myself, and went. I did my business, and washed my hands at the sink. But when I looked in the mirror, my math teacher Ms.Young was behind me. I held my hand to my chest, after my body jumped. "Sorry sweetheart, did I scare you?" She asked, laughing. "Just a little," I joked. "Meet me outside the restroom," she commanded, leaving. I was curious at this moment, not knowing why she wanted me when I wasn't at my 1st period now.
I walked out of the room, noticing her on a bench. I went over and sat by her. "Yes, Ms.Young?" I asked, smiling. "Can I know about the incident on the bus?" She asked me, staring. I swallowed, and nodded. "So, once I got on, I noticed that Glory and Sandy were hurting Winter so I decided to come to her aid," I explained, nervous. "What'd you do to the girls?" She asked me. "I gently pushed them onto the ground, and asked why this was happening," I continued. "What was?" She asked. "Winter had called Janice something, and the girls got mad about it. Now Winter is all sad for some reason," I still told. "Alright. Thank you honey," Ms.Young smiled. I nodded, and went opposite as Ms.Young.
After school, when I was walking to my locker, I heard giggles and laughs near me the whole way there. Finally, I got irritated and turned around, stomping my foot. "Will you guys shut
up?" I yelled, closing my eyes. I noticed that it was Janice and her girls. "You guys.." I mumbled, crossing my arms. By now I was in front of my locker. They just ignored me, and continued giggling as they walked out of the school. Man, I don't understand them.
