Today, Wednesday was a pretty average day. I was on my way out of school as I had a free period last lesson. I was to excited about tomorrow as it was our first rehearsal. Tonight we where going round Jake's house for dinner.
On my way out I was stopped by Will. "Hey."
"Hey Lilly, can I talk to you?"
"Sure what is it, but you will be late to class." I add, I swear he looked more handsome every time I saw him.
"This is worth being late for." He smiles and I blush. "Lilly I have liked you for a while now, I was going to ask you out when we where younger, but you left and I never could but now your back, I want to more then anything. So Lilly, can I take you out on a date on Friday night?" His words where like gold to me. So amazing. I have waited for this moment for so long.
"Of course you can take me out." I mutter blushing
"Great I will pick you up at seven on Friday for... Dinner and a movie?"
"Sounds perfect." I say and he jogs down the corridor. My heart is racing and I can't stop smiling. I will have to tell Jake. My first date. Ever.
Mrs Anderson's food was amazing. She made a roast dinner. There was pork, carrots, broccoli, Yorkshire puddings and the best roast potatoes I have ever eaten. They where crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside, like how our chef makes them. God that makes me feel snobby. Molly heads home early as she has a big health and social care project to complete. Molly is really into that stuff. After pudding me and Jake go to his room. I plonk myself down on the bed as he sits on his big blue bean bag I brought him several years ago. "Jake can I ask you something?"
"Hit me."
"Where was your dad tonight?"
"I never told anyone this before." Jake says standing up.
"Told anyone what?" My eyes follow him as he paces the room. He says nothing for a few moments. "A few weeks after you left my dad went to prison... as he... he sexually assaulted a girl at the collage he was working at, here in Edison. He was guilty, so me and my mum don't speak to him now." He says looking down at his feet.
"Where-where is he?" I stutter
"Still in prison. He will be there forever." I could tell Jake was trying not to cry. Out of us he was the strong one. I jump up and walk over to him and hold him for a moment. When he lets go it looks like he wasn't upset and he sits back down on his bean bag and I sit on the bed. "I saw you talking to Will at fifth period. What where you talking about?"
"Oh just about the best thing ever."
"What he asks jumping up to sit next to me on the bed.
"Well he just asked me out."
"You better not be screwing me Lil."
"I'm not." And I pull him into a tight hug, and he hugs back.
"That is the best." He says letting go
"Lilly time to go." My mum shouts up.
"See you tomorrow morning." And with the I go to my mum and we go home.

When she left I just wanted to break down. I knew she always liked William but I never thought she would do anything about it. Her words went into me like a knife. I wish I could tell her how I feel about her. But that will never happen.
