Chapter 26-Collage?

"Honey you have post!" Mum shouts at me, I am currently sat upstairs on my laptop doing homework, I know it is a Saturday but tomorrow I am spending the day with Jake. I slug downstairs. "What?" I ask and mum, dad and Molly are stood there looking at me. "Do I have something on me?" I ask brushing myself down. "No sweetheart you have to letters from collages. " Mum says waving them at me. I snatch them out her hand. One is from. The first one was my back up. I applied for two collages, New Jersey school of dramatic arts and I also applied to AMDA, the school Jake took me to on my birthday

I peeled open the first envelop. It reads,

Dear Miss Lillian-May Richards, we regret to inform you that we do not have a place at our school, you have been put on our wait listed and we will be contacting you soon if you have been given a place out our collage. Thank you for applying..."

I read. That was my back up option and.... What the hell? I didn't get into my back up! How am I going to get into AMDA? Currently freaking out!

I open the other letter. It is a bit heavier. And read out,

Dear Miss Lillian-May Richards,

I am proud to in from you that you have placed a spot at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. "

I din't read any more as Molly and mum pulled me into a hug while screaming and crying. When they let go dad gave me a small hug. "I am proud of you Lillian." Dad says and a smile and say something kind to him for once, "Thanks dad." The add"The letter says I start after the summer holidays." I read. God I am so happy. "We have to celebrate. Takeaway for dinner anyone?" Mum says. and me and Molly jump up in excitement.

"Hi Jake, come in have anything planed for today?" I ask letting Jake come in, then closing the front door behind him. "Nah just chill with a movie?" He asks. That was perfect. "Lil, I have some great news. I got into Princeton!" He says and he pulls me into a hug. I was so happy for him. "I have so great news too, I got in AMDA!" We hug again. "I am so proud of you Jake." I say smiling as we pull away. "No, I am proud of you. But we are going to be so far away, again." He says looking down at his feet. "I know Jake but I am coming back for Christmas. And when I can." I say lifting his head up to look up at me. Then my doorbell went of again and Aubrey, Megan, Will, Jasmine and Noah all coming in hugging me. "What is this for guys. Did I forget something. Did someone die?" I ask pulling away. "Molly told us you got into that drama and singing school in The big NY!." Aubrey says, with that Molly pulls her head round the corner. "Lets go upstairs, dad is in his office." We go upstairs into my room.

Me, Will sat on my bed, Jake and Aubrey on my chair then everyone else on the floor. "Okay we are going to go round the circle and say if we have had collage letters, okay. Me first. I got into LMA College of fashion." Aubrey screams and we all congratulate her.

Next Jake says we he is going. Then we skip past Molly and Jasmine. Noah said he hadn't heard back from the colleges he applied to. Megan is going to the same school as Aubrey. Will is going to the collage of New Jersey. Everyone is going to by each other, accept me.

Once everyone left I sat on my bed with some chocolate and hot chocolate. I open up my laptop and go on Google. I search how long it takes to get from New Jersey to New York. It takes almost two hours. So about 80 miles! I am going to miss everyone so much. It cost £352 pounds to get there and that is in dollars, I think $498.63. I can't afford that.When I leave I want to be independent from my family. Well my dad is paying for my education.

I know when I moved to London that is was even further away from my friends but I just got them back. I don't want to leave again. But I have to. I have to do something for me. Right?
