"Get up, Caleb! We've got work today!" I yell, dramatically jumping on to my best friend's bed, squishing him beneath my 120 pounds. My hair surrounds my face like a curtain as light floods in through the tall windows of Caleb's bedroom. They overlook the tall city skyscrapers, and light reflects off of the white furniture in the room, making for an even brighter, more inviting space. The sun is peeking over the horizon creating a bright orange glow that illuminates the room, turning the white furniture a cream color.

Caleb groans and pushes against my face with his giant hand. One of his fingers pokes my eye, while the other one comes dangerously close to going up my nose. I pull my head back until it can go no further. I must have the best double chin of my life right now.

"Ew get your gross hand off my face!" I say to him, pushing against his chest with my hand to try to create more space between the two of us.

"Ew get your gross face off my hand!" He retorts, finally removing his hand from directly in front of me.

"Oh shut up, Stupid."

"Go away, Idiot. I'm sleeping."

"You're clearly awake, Dumbass."

"Bitch please, I'm sleep-talking."

"Very funny, shithead. Get up now."

"Stop calling me names." He whines like a five-year-old child; his voice rising 3 pitches. We do this every morning. I have to get his lazy ass out of bed, and it always, always turns into a battle. The man refuses to wake up. In fact, if I didn't come to wake him up every morning, he probably wouldn't ever wake up.

"Look, buddy, we've got a big ol business to run. Can't be late now can we?" I say, pushing my hand through his hair, making it messier than it already is. It stands in spikes in some places, while in other places, it's kinda just in a messy and staticky knot.

"10 more minutes." He says in a raspy morning voice, his words coming out cracked and deep. He tilts his head to the side attempting to get away from my oh-so-wonderful presence, but he's out of luck today since I'm sort of straddling him; pinning him down with my legs on either side of his torso. He couldn't get away even if he tried. Although, he probably could, considering he works out on the daily, and I can barely open a water bottle.

I lean down and put my mouth near his ear. I just hover there for a minute, softly breathing. He begins to turn his head, and that's when I go in for the kill.

"GET UP!" I scream directly into his ear, probably bursting his eardrum. He jumps up, bonking our heads together. I see stars for a second before I fall backward onto the bed feeling as if I might die. I think my brain might have just hit the back of my skull. The pain lingers.

"Owwww! Goddamn!!" I exclaim holding my now pounding head in my hands. I'm probably gonna get a bruise on my forehead from the impact of our two heads smashing together. How wonderful. "I think I just came really close to seeing if heaven is real or not."

"Your fault, Enny." He chuckles, setting his feet on the floor, and standing up. Apparently, he's been in no way affected by the two-way impact that's just occurred, while I'm still waiting for the world to stop spinning. He stretches his arms high over his head, letting out a deep breath. He then looks back at me. "Today's PJ day, right?"

"I believe so," I reply, finally regaining my will to continue living. I'm still a little woozy from that near-death experience, but I'll be alright. I stand up and walk towards his bedroom door, ready to leave and go concoct some sort of breakfast.

"Sweet. So I can just go in my boxers then?" He asks, his expression serious.

I grab one of his plain white shirts from his dresser and chuck it at his face. "What do you think the answer to that question is?"
