ENNY'S P.O.V
I turn around to grab my t-shirt off the bed when I see a tall figure standing in the doorway to my hotel room. I nearly scream and my heart jumps out of my chest and onto the floor.
I grab the t-shirt and hold it against my chest, covering my nearly naked torso.
"What the hell?" I ask the person standing in front of me. They stand in the small, dark hallway that leads into my room, so I can't make out a face. "Could you please leave?"
The person looks down and steps forward into the well - lit room. It's just Caleb. My shoulders relax a little and I take that time to put my shirt on over my head.
"You scared the crap out of me." I say going to sit down on my bed. "What do you want?"
"I just came here to give you back your charger. You left it with me." He tells me, tossing my white iPhone charger onto my bed.
"Oh." I say. "Thanks."
"You're welcome." He tells me, putting a small smile on his face. He turns around and starts to head towards the door, but I call out after him.
"Wait! I need to ask you something." I say. He stops and turns around to look at me, leaning against the wall of my room. He looks at me expectantly as I gather my thoughts and put them into words. Words that I've been holding in for two years. "What happened?"
He furrows his brows in confusion as I say this, his hands sliding deeper into his pockets. "What do you mean?"
"What I mean..." I start to say, but then figure it's better not to bring it up considering what happened last time I did. "you know what? Never mind actually. It doesn't matter."
"Are you sure? It seemed urgent..."
"yeah yeah." I say dismissing the thought. "It was stupid of me to even bring it up. Sorry for wasting your time."
He pushes off against the wall his face emotionless as always. "Okay...well, I'll be in my room if you need anything."
CALEB'S P.O.V
I know exactly what she means. I knew she would be asking about that time soon, but I never realized how hard it would be to answer. To confess that I was so jealous of Henry. I just don't have the guts in me to do so, now that she's had a steady boyfriend for a while and I've had a steady girlfriend. It just seems awkward.
I was so tempted to answer her.
I stand outside of her hotel room for the longest time, debating whether or not I should go back in and tell her the truth. Ask her if she really does hate working with me. If I did, both our lives would be better. But I'm a wimp.
Sometimes I think that maybe I love her more than just a friend, but I know that if that was true, I wouldn't have left her.
So maybe I am an asshole, but I still care.

Later that night, when I can't sleep, I walk down to the pool of the hotel, my mind wandering as I stride silently down the halls. When I find the pool, I go into the men's changing room, take off my shirt, and put my stuff in an empty locker. There are only a handful of people down here this late, and it's eerily quiet.
When I walk out onto the pool deck, I immediately spot Enny in the water, slowly swimming back and forth.
Why the hell do we have to think so similarly?!?
I huff as I dive into the water, submerging myself into a muffled world. I swim back up to the surface of the water, and see Enny headed straight towards me doing the back stroke and oblivious to my presence. I try to move out of the way, but she's going too fast, and her head bonks straight into my chest. I'm pushed back, and I frantically kick at the water to slow myself down. She turns over in the water to look at who she bumped into and when she sees me, her eyes widen.
"Why are you here?" She asks me. "I thought you would be being an anti-social human forever!" She laughs at her own description of me, and a smile stretches across my face.
"Well, a man can only go so long without social interaction...if you know what I mean." I say with a playful wink.
"CALEB! You dirty minded little shit." She says as she thwacks my arm with her small hand. "I can't believe you right now. It's hardly even been a day since you've last seen your girlfriend!"
I throw my head back in a laugh. It's nice to finally laugh with her again.
