CALEB'S P.O.V

"She's awake, sir." A young male doctor announces, walking into the waiting room which is inhabited by me and another older lady who's passed out in her chair, snoring and everything.
I jump onto my feet, my heart pounding in my chest, and I walk over towards him.
"Wait," he hold up a hand. "before I let you go, I'd like you to know that this is temporary. Many patients who end up in her state are awake for short periods of time. It could be an hour, 15 minutes, who knows. And in addition, I'd also like you to keep in mind that if she does fall back into her sleeping state for too long, she may die. There is only so much that we can do. Chances are, in her case, she will not die. I'm just putting it out there that it is a possibility, however it is an unlikely one."
"Thank you, Dr. McKellan. May I see her now?" I ask him.
"Of course, she's in the 5th door on your right." He points a finger down the long, white hallway. I follow his directions, counting the number of wooden doors that I pass, my eyes narrowed in on the one that I know she's in.
I push the door open, the sound of a heart monitor beeping fills my ears, but it's the only thing I hear.
I step into the room, slowly closing the door behind me and I make my way over to the bed. I don't know if I'm thinking that she'd look horribly different, but I'm surprised at how normal she looks. Besides the large bandage on her forehead, she's just the same.
Her big brown eyes meet mine, confusion clear on her face...but I'm not so sure what there is to be confused about. She doesn't say anything, so I start talking to her.
"Hey, Enny. How are you feeling?" I ask her.
nothing.
"Okay," I look at my feet. "Well, I'm good, thanks, I hope you are too. What were you thinking drinking all of that beer? You could've killed yourself!"
"I'm sorry-" she begins to say, her voice raspy, but I cut her off.
"It's fine I'm just happy that you're okay."
"...who are you?"
