"So you like Chris, right?" I asked as I jump on her bed with that crazy grin that said 'Come on, quick! Gimme all the dirt!'. She was still in her towel and was now in front of her wardrobe, deciding what she should wear. I am not sure if it is for a party or not. She didn't answer but just picked out the clothes she wanted to wear. A black flowy skirt with a white lace crop top. All meant for an occasion. Obviously picking it out for the party.

"See, if you don't tell me, I might as well go tell him the truth..." You linger on, hoping that the threat would affect her. Any girl would be very conscious of that threat. It is in fact a very common things do look out for.

"No, please don't! I'll tell you... Ya, I like him..." She admitted shyly as she set her clothes neatly on the bed. Immediately my brow rose. "Okay fine, I love him..." She said, stressing her point on 'love' and rolling her eyes as she sat down beside me. Her eyes refused to meet mine. Is she so shy of her confession of affection?

"Since how long?" " Well, it's been a while..." Again my brow rose. Damn, she has to be specific. "Nicole?" "Okay!" She groaned and then murmured. "Since the time he was put in that cell..." It was so soft that she thought I wouldn't be able to hear a word. But the truth is I did hear every word clearly.

"Are you kidding me? How could you keep it for that long?" I ask, nearly jumping on her. "Woah, calm down!" Once I managed to calm down from the excitement, she continued. " Well, I just some how managed to... It was never the right time..." She let out sadly. " What do you mean?" "Well, he really loved Elenor, his ex-girlfriend. And since the time she passed away. He has never been the same. He still hasn't gotten over her yet." She explained softly.

Truthfully I felt bad for her. She did deserve love. But she has been stuck to a guy who has been pining away his love for that one dead girl. Not to forget, that girl really meant a lot to him. She was his saving hope from giving up. She was his angel. But I think six centuries to get over a girl is more than enough. Does he seriously need more time? Or does he need a chance to move on and get over his depression over a girl?

" You know-" I turned to her and my face screwed in disgust. She looked at me with those big eyes as she was expecting words to roll out. " Dude, please put some clothes on! That towel is going to come down any second!" She made a face and disappeared for a minute and came back on the bed, all dressed. And wow, did that suit her. It was perfect. Chris is gonna fall flat.

"You look nice..." I trail off, impressed with her style. Truth be told, she did have great style and I loved it. That is why we are shopping buddies. That is only when I am not lazy to step outside the house.

" Thanks. I know I do..." She smiles softly. "Well, that's the compliment you should be expecting from Chris!" I yell. "But-" "I know he always gives these stupid compliments but he should have only eyes for you. You should bring that attention to yourself... You don't deserve this." I try to explain. "You know what you need to do... You gotta tell him..." I tell her with a constant nod, more confident with the answer I had for her.

"What!" She screeched. "No way! That is not happening!" She yelled out as she stood up in shock. "Well, you got to tell him how you feel. He has to move on from her. It has been six centuries. It has to stop now. You as well as I know that well enough." I yelled back, as I stood on the bed. And she just looked down like a little child, nodding. She was getting what I had to say. He was my best friend and he deserved happiness and love and I was allowed to wish that for him. Plus I also had the right to find the perfect girl for him. And who can be better than the girl who has been by his side for all his damned life as a vampire?

"So I don't care. You are doing this!" I instruct her as I get down. And she unwillingly nodded. "Okay, I am going to go change!" I announce in the same tone and leave the room, leaving the way she was, deep in thought.

I went back to my room and opened my closet. Well, I did have to get ready for the party. And I could not afford to get late for the party. I was really getting excited as I didn't know who will I get to meet. Plus this is the time I will get introduced as Zac's girlfriend and not just one of his guests living with the famous band. So I had to look my best.

As my eyes skimmed through the clothes I had a choice between, I noticed a note tucked in between. I pulled it out and began to read it. It said.

Dear Angel,

It is a very informal party. Something small that we as a group put up annually. And with that, you are allowed dress however you like. Provided you dress up properly and neatly. Please take this warning a little seriously. And I am waiting to see you. So please be on time. You want Nicole's help, well, she will be there. Just please dress properly.

Love,

Zac

I smiled faintly at the letter. It was proved useless. He very well knows that I would do what I want. I don't listen to anybody when my mind is made up. Plus that letter isn't even a letter. It is common sense. He wouldn't expect me to dress up in a bikini, right? That too much for a party.

I just went through my entire wardrobe and came up with a dress which was perfect for such an occasion. I wanted my outfit to say that I was fit to be Zac's girlfriend and that dress exactly let out the same sentence. It was the perfect dress with a perfect fit. I quickly put it on.

And pushed myself in front of the mirror. I loved the way it fit me like a glove. It was beautiful. Even Zac won't be able to keep his hands away from me.

Yup, I ended up in a black Chanel floral dress that covered only 3/4 of my thighs and it's netted sleeves wound tightly till my elbows. It had a deep V-neckline and had tightly creased at the waist before freeing itself from there. It was gorgeous and a perfect fit, like it was made just for me. My long brunette hair had it's tips forced into luscious curls and I put light shadowy eye make up to give the mysterious look, complimented with dark cherry red lipstick and pruned roses blushing on my high cheek bones. And then slipped my feet into a black 10 inch heels that had its satin ribbons wrapped around my ankles. And my look was perfect. And I couldn't wait for the party to start.

Just at that moment, I could hear some sort of music playing. I guess the party is already started.
