KRISTEN'S POV

Every one needed to go and clear up everything, especially the mess I had created using their things. Since I had the excuse of not being a vampire, I was allowed to back out from the mess I made because they think that I will hold them back from finishing it and I will agree with them.
Dylan went back to his room, removing the stains of pie which Ash had made especially for him, Ash was in the kitchen giving me my lunch with a deep, pressed frown and began washing the cutlery and utensils as they had been covered with hard wet mud and I had to keep apologizing till he smiled in forgiveness. I know Ash hated his kitchen being a mess but it was only a small, harmless prank. Walt sat in his room as he was suffering from an abnormal headache due to the sudden blow of heavy books toppling over him and Zac had gone back to his room to put the books back. Unluckily he, too, hates people meddling with his books but he didn’t mind as much as Ash did.

Secretly, I wanted Zac to be the winner. The reason I didn’t want to declare him caught. I wanted it to be him so I could kiss him. It would have been another tick in my check list. A kiss given to my celebrity crush and would’ve been really happy with it. In fact jumping with joy. I remember the time I used to dance in excitement, blow kisses and shout how sexy Zac looks at the Television every time he sings. Mom actually took a video of me doing that and trust me, I looked really cute and it’s actually saved on my phone.

“Hey!” I turn to see Chris walking to sit beside me. I smile. “Hi!” I whisper back. His chair placed really close to mine that I could smell his minty breath which hit me hard like a strong effect of drugs. Usually I hate mint but this is one exception I think I can make. “Is there a cap to your smartness?” He asked, half-whispered. “What do you think?” I say, in the same tone and volume.
Suddenly he turns away, resting his back on the counter. “Hey, are you ok?” I ask, my voice going back to normal. He shakes his head. “Oh man, I can’t do this.” He says, running his hand through his hair before resting his elbow on the counter just like it’s counterpart. “I want to ask you something… Did that kiss mean anything to you?” He ask seriously, after a moment of pure silence. “Truthfully, it was a friendly one and therefore meant nothing.” I answer quietly. He nods slowly. Again he turns to bang his fists. “See… How do I explain this to him?” He shouts it out, but is clearly talking to himself. “To who?” Curiousity overtakes my mind but he ignores me and walks away.

   NEXT DAY

I woke up, wondering what’s gonna happen today. Better be something new. I jump out of my bed and a quick shower before I go for breakfast. Ash had kept an amazing breakfast for me.
Quickly finish my breakfast and go to Chris’s room. I was the first one to get up in happiness so I’m going to irritate the hell out of some one. I slowly creep into his room and suddenly I start jumping on his bed with him sleeping. I also start singing ‘One way or the other’. Chris tried to block out the noise with his pillow but obviously it’s impossible with a voice which is made purposely screechy.
So he pulled me down, wrapped his arm around my waist and his second hand found itself on my lips, muffling all sounds trying to come out. Everything done with his eyes closed plus he pulled me tight that I could feel his chest going up and down. I tried to protest but he shushed me every time I made a tiny noise. So I tried to wriggle out of his grasp. His face showed discomfort and finally gave up. He left my body, which rolled me onto the floor and he sat up, stretching and yawning while I waited for him to notice me. He finally did and pretended to be surprised to find me there. “Good morning! And what are you doing there?” He asked confused. “You are impossible.” I stated before getting up and stomping out. And went back to the kitchen. This time everyone was present.
“Wow, finally everyone got out of there lazy schedule.” I say cheerfully. “No, we all got up because of your screechy voice.” Zac pointed out. “Plus we know your real voice and we think you sound a million times better than that.” I bit my tongue. “Oh, I’m so sorry but I only wanted to irritate Chris.” I say softly. They just nodded sleepily.
