KRISTEN'S POV
My eyes open slowly. I hated sunlight in my eyes. I stretch. "BOO!" Aah! I fall of my bed. Bed? Couch. Couch? Ah yah! Couch. I fell asleep after the movie. I look at Walt who was giggling. Thank god, there was a carpet so I didn't hurt my ass again. "Walt, I thought you weren't allowed to play pranks." I shout as he disappears. "Opps...I forgot." giving his cheshire smile before he disappears completely. God, I hate his talent.
I rub my forehead and look around. Guess I'm the only one sleeping. Chris stands in front of me and offers me his hand. "Here, come let me help you up." I gladly take it and help myself up. "Ok, so now atleast tell me where are we going?" I ask. Someone else answers. "To the garden." Zac was standing there. I just didn't realize. "Garden?" " Ya, the one behind our house." Ok, I didn't really know about that. "Ok, then I'm going to get ready." I went to my room and changed into a pink teeback and a pair of denim shorts and made two ponytails and went down.
" Wow. Nice." Walt comments with a devilish grin. "Thanks." I give a smile and go to the kitchen. " Hey!" Ash turns. " Hi! Ready so fast?" "Finally getting to go out. After 2 weeks. It kinda seems like some kind of house arrest." " I have to agree with you." Chris comes in. "Hey! You look cute." He comments with smiles and I sit down for breakfast which I quickly managed to finish. "Kristy, you ready?" Zac shouts. "Yup, I'm done."I go to the living room where I see all of them are ready. "Then let's go."We stepped out of the house by the back side and trust me the garden looked more of a forest. "You call that a garden?" I asked, dazed at the view. It was filled with Trees, wild ones. It really felt like those ages where man forgot that cities and town even existed. " I know this doesn't look like a garden to you but it is the only places a vampire can practise it's skills and behave like one." Zac explains. "Ok, so what exactly are we doing here?" I ask. " We are gonna play a game. Spot and Catch." Walt says with a smirk which definately meant that I'm gonna go through hell." And that definately means I'm 'it'.
"You got it right, Babe!" he says with his naughty smirk plastered. God, why does he always smirk? One day, I'm gonna wipe that out of his face. "Like that's gonna happen." he shouted out of the blue. "Can everybody hear my thoughts or is Ash helping him as usual? " I ask with a groan to the person who stood closer to me: Zac.
"What do you think?" His deep, soulful voice hit me hard just the time it had done the first time I had ever heard him sing and he leaned in closer as he wass already standing beside me. "I think I already know the answer." I murmur back with my heart beating fast. My celebrity crush is leaning towards me and I could feel the spark between us. "Okay, the rules of the game..." Ash began to announce as we all had circled around him. "First thing: Kristen, we will run and you will have to catch us.-" " Hey, you guys are vampires.
How the hell am I going to catch you guys?" I whine."Ok, then you just have to spot us and recognize who is it." " Let see." I say, taking up the impossible challenge. "Oh, and no use of talents." Perfect time to set up my condition. "And I think Zac will help me to see that." I had to put Zac's name because he will not cheat and that makes him a great idol for the great rememberance of honesty. And he nods. Why am I always stuck into this? I whine into my head. Ash answers it loudly for me. "Cause it's gonna be fun... Ok, now count five seconds with your eyes closed and the game begins." "Ok!" I groan before closing my eyes. 1.2.3.4.5. Only in my mind. Opened my eyes slowly. Every one disappeared but only the warm breeze in my hair and the warm sun shining on me, remained. God, I don't even understand why they even need those five seconds. I wouldn't even spot them anyways nevertheless I stepped into the jungle of me definately not going to return.
It's been an hour and I can't find any one, even though they just keep running around me. (Yeah, I can feel the sudden rise of the gush in the wind.) Worst part is that I'm stuck in these woods and I think my path of finding them are in the form of loop holes cause every footprint I'm following were, unluckily, my own plus these stupid creatures are jumping branch to branch. They keep pulling my hair and making me fall, laughing at my helplessness. At one point, I got so frustrated that I had to use my head. The bulb lit up bright and my reserved devilish grin spread itself out. "Guys, I need to use the wash room." I shouted. "So go..." The obvious reply in my head. They could have atleast shouted it out. A clue for me to find them. Anyways gotta go.
I come running back after a few minutes. Actually 15 minutes to be exact. No one was to be seen. Now my plan begins. A few needed items were in my arms which play a vital part in my plan. I adjusted the objects where they were needed and the camera switched on. I took my place on the chair which placed itself just outside the 'so called wild garden'.
Within some precious moments, every one will be caught. I shouted, in the hope of exciting the tense game. "I have a special prize for the sexy winner." Job done and let the Actual Game begin.First person caught was Dylan. He had one of Ash's exotic pie muddled up in his hair and some part of it clung on to his face and not to forget the deep frown. "Dylan's caught!" I yelled in joy, still basking under the warm sun. The second person caught was Ash. His expression was speechless when he saw all his utencils were hanging by the tree and also found out that I had used one of his pies to catch Dylan.
Apparently I think he banged into one of the pans and got the mixing spoon in his eye. "Ash, you're caught!" I yelled in guilt. God, I'm so screwd, I guess. Just less than five minutes, the third person was caught, Walt. Zac's bundle of thick bound books fell on him and I think he hit his head pretty hard. I giggled at the sight of the funny incident on the thin screen. "Walt's caught." I say, knowing that he can hear me.
"You know that is cheating, right?" A voice surprised me. I look up. It was Zac who was sitting on the branch with a red lucious apple in his hand. "Yes, I know but unluckily, it hasn't been mentioned in the rules." I stuck my tongue out at him. "Well, then I'm caught." He says plainly as he jumps down. "Well, I haven't said that you have been caught so run off." "Well, I consider myself caught." And then he shouts "I'm caught."
So only Chris is remaining. "Chris, game is over. You win!" I shout as I get up. Every one comes except for him. "Chris-" " You don't have to shout, you know. I'm right behind you." That nearly gave me a heart attack. I turned. "Don't scare me like that. Anyways where were you hiding?" "I was standing right behind you the whole time." He shrugs, his eyes glinting by the sun into that amazing colour which always reminded me of freshly made cookies and muffins.
"Hey, that was cheating! Anyways lets go." I say, a sudden urgency to go back in. But none of them would budge. "You have to give your special prize to the winner." Ash points out. Oh God, did I really say that? Oh how stupid of me. "But I caught everyone!" I exclaim, not willing to part with the special gift. " No, you didn't. Chris was left thus he is the winner." : Walt. "Okay, okay. I'll give him his prize." I looked at him first who innocently looked at me back and then I looked around, every one looked so intently, wondering what the gift could be.
I lessen the distance between us, pulled him by the collar with the intense eye contact and my lips made it's way towards his. He is expecting it, I judge and so are the others, I could clearly see. A quick detour made and the kiss brushed his cheek. I pulled back to look at him with a surpressed smile. "And that my friend, is your special prize. Hope you enjoyed it." I say before skipping my way back in.CHRIS'S POV
My hand goes immediately to my cheek, the place she softly kissed me before going back to the house. Only the five of us remained. "You weren't expecting that, were you?" Walt asks, with that annoying grin which has been plastered all the time since she has come.
I just shook my head as my eyes looked down and my thoughts struck deep. "She's playing hard to get, bro." He comments before the trio goes, leaving Zac and I here, alone. "See, that's a sign. You gotta tell her how you feel." Zac says, breaking the awkward silence as my hand falls down. " No, I can't. The time is not right." I protest, still looking downwards.
" Why not?" Confused question demanded. "Because... It's just not the right time." I say, frustrated at my incapability of reasoning. I wanted to tell him the truth but I just can't. He has to figure it out or I might be compelled for a suicide attempt. " Ok, do it your way." He says dejectedly. I know he wants me to tell her how I feel, a way for me to start new and unbroken life but it would shatter someone else who wouldn't admit the truth inside. I thought as he disappeared. And soon I was to follow him.
