A VISION...

A young girl was having a race with her adopted sister. From the ice cream shop to the house. The race began and the two took their separate ways, proving their route to be shorter. The little girl ran, huffing till her cheeks became rosy red... Her curly brunette hair bounced lightly against her shoulders as the wind blew against her small body. As her body was tired and couldn't take it anymore, she stopped in the park, panting and finally agreed to herself that her sister would win as she was too fast for her.
She wanted to sit, rest her tired body but the nearby bench was occupied by a young, handsome man who was looking at her with those gentle eyes. The man was recognized in a second as he has still not changed. "Come, sit here."He beckoned her to sit beside him. Having her desire fulfilled, she drags her feet towards the bench and sits but makes sure that there is some distance between them. Her mother had warned her about strangers and she being a very obedient girl, would listen to her. To break the awkward silence, he offers one of her favourite chocolates, Ferrero Rochers which she looks suspiciously at.
"It's not poison." He says with a laugh and takes a tiny bite to prove his words. She shyly takes the chocolate and slowly nibbles on the side which he had bitten from. Little did I know that this man would soon be the man I trusted the most and then later the one I truly loved.

SNAPPED BACK INTO REALITY...

"You wiped my memories." I whisper to myself in disbelief. "I-" "You wiped my memories, Zee!" I shouted in pure anger. He just wiped one of my memories where my happiness lived. Without it, my life was plunged in total misery. The past I had before was unbearable and horrifying and that memory was what kept me away from depression I was most likely to fall into. And he wiped it away.
"I am sorry." He said softly. "And why the hell would you do that?" I shouted even louder. "I'll tell you the truth. Please calm down." I closed my eyes, waiting for my anger to recede and then looked at him for his so called explanation.

He sighs before he begins. "When I first saw you, you were ten and your best friend started living with you. You looked like someone I knew. Someone who was so close to me. So I ended up watching you everyday. Your every movement, your every emotion, your every moment. Everything. One day, you noticed me and since then I knew that we would become close. Become one. So what's the harm if a man and a girl become friends?
It started to become dangerous when you stated to put your complete faith and trust in me. Soon I realized that there was not even one day I could live without seeing your face. Every time I was away, it made me anxious to see your awaiting smiles and laughter. I had to go before you became that one thing I lived for. But you wouldn't let me go so I was left with no choice but to erase your memories." He pauses.

"I guess it's too late now, isn't it?" He smiles sadly at the floor and continues to play with my fingers. I put my second hand on his and gave a comforting squeeze. "It's OK, Zac." comforting his moment of regret.

But he just nods. "I think I should go." He gets up and starts to go. Before stepping out, he turns back. "Forgot to tell you. Ash is calling you down." "Yeah, I'm comin." I knew that the conversation we held right now was long over and forgotten. At least for now.

I quickly put the things in their respective places and went to the kitchen, where Ash stood there, angrily waiting for me. "How could you ever think of leaving without breakfast?" He asks, dramatically angry." "I'm sorry, Ash." I say, looking down but he continued as if no one interrupted him. "And you expected this to stay breakfast?" I repeat my apology again.
"It's OK but you have to promise never to leave the house again." "You saw what happened right now. I can't leave the house until one of you permits me to." I sigh..

"What ever! Have your lunch now." He said, shaking his head before getting back to work. I took a bite from what's kept in front of me. It was cold but it still tasted amazing probably because I haven't had anything since morning. God, I'm so famished.
