Chapter 10

We finally get to the 'Welcome to Las Vegas' sign. According to the asshole of a leader, we are going to cut down the strip. Which is the stupidest fucking idea. Before all of this shit happened this strip was always crowded.

Now here we are walking down a barren street in what seems to be an abandoned city in the middle of the fucking dessert. However it looked like it was about to storm.

Weird, deserts rarely get any type of precipitation. It was cloudy.

Suddenly an arm is put in front of my chest and I stop immediately. Sort of like when you slam on your car breaks and put your arm in front of the person in the passenger seat out of reflex.

That is what it was like. It was Niall who put his arm in front of me.

"Niall what the hell are you.." I begin.

"Shhh." He said ever so quietly.

"Guys get into this pharmacy." Niall said urgently. He began to grab at the boards that were hammered on the Windows,

"Niall what's going on mate?" Liam asked.

"We have to get inside now! There's no time to explain, just do it!" He yelled quietly.

Liam and Elliot didn't question it but they began pulling at the boards.

"Ellen stay close to Liam." I say.

Ellen stays by Liam and begins to help them with the boards. I walk up to Niall and he grabs me by the shoulders and puts me along the wall with the rest of the group.

I don't question it, I just let him.

"I got in!" Liam says as he places the board in his hands on the ground.

"Everyone climb in now!" Niall shouts.

We begin to climb in as fast as we could, avoiding the broken glass and empty pill bottles all over the floors.I turn on my flashlight to help the group see a bit.

Niall is the last to climb in and he puts a board back on the window and moves a nearby shelf in front of it so it will stay put.

"Niall what the fuck is your problem? What the hell is going on?" Elliot asks.

"Find a place to hide! Stay down and stay hidden. Nobody make a sound!" He whispers.

Right now nobody questions Niall. Not even Elliot. We all listen to him and begin to find places to hide. We were all scared. Niall must have seen soemthing.

Liam and Ellen crawl and hide under a counter where a bunch of shelves have fallen, hard for someone to even be spotted. Elliot climbs on top of a shelf up high right above the counter that liam and Ellen are under.

He hides behind a big sign that was used to advertise some sort of vitamins for adults. I find a set of lockers behind the counter and hide into one that had a big mess and parts of the ceiling in front of.

The locker is pretty roomy, because it looked to have been used for lab coats, masks and goggles that the pharmacists used.

Suddenly the door of the locker opens and Niall squeezes in and shuts the door. We are chest to chest in this locker.

"Niall what are you doing?" I whisper yell.

"Liam, Ellen and Elliot are together and I couldn't leave you alone on the other side of this pharmacy." He slightly whispers back. Hearing just a bit of rasp in his voice.

I don't say anything but I begin to slow my breathing to calm down a bit since we rushed into the abandoned pharmacy. Suddenly I feel Niall's hand grab mine, intertwining our fingers. He was gripping hard and it began to hurt.
