AUTHOR'S NOTE
Sorry for the long delay in posting this story. I have been so busy the last few months with work and my life. I haven't really been that active on social media or anything. Haven't been focused on my fan accounts or on this story and I apologize. I didn't forget about this book. Just haven't felt like writing because I have a lot going on with work and stuff. I'll keep posting chapters little by little. The story has about maybe 15-30 chapters left so we have a long way to go! Stay tuned :)Back to the story...
Everyone jumps into action and starts opening the sails. Liam and Harry work on the engine, filling it up with fuel to jet away from the dangerous storm heading this way. Niall, Louis and Gemma get the sails prepared to catch the huge drift in wind to help push us father away from the super storm.I get to the steering wheel of the boat and look at the gauges to make sure we are set and ready to go.
Suddenly, I feel a sharp pain in my side. Almost as if someone had taken a dull knife and jammed it into me and started twisting it. I scream out in pain and fall straight to the floor of the boat.
Niall sees and comes running over as fast as he can to my side.
"Jodie what's wrong!"
I couldn't say anything, my breathing was deep and I couldn't move. Blood starts pouring from my nose and I start coughing.
"Shit! Guys, she's turning pale and her heart rate is dropping!" Niall says as he checks my pulse and examines me. Soon enough, I pass out.
Niall's POV
"Oh shit!" I scream.
Harry comes running over.
"She passed out!" I shout. I grab a towel and clean the blood from her face.
"Harry, do you think she could be going into labor?" I whisper quietly.
"Check her down there to see." He says and turns around to give her her privacy.
I gently tug her pants down about halfway and notice that everything seems to look normal. She isn't dilated or opening up. I cover her with a towel and call Gemma over since I'm not 100% sure.
Gemma comes running over and lifts the towel to see.
"Niall, she isn't in labor. She's dry and she isn't dilated at all. Could just be a strong kick from the baby and it hit a nerve." She explains.
"Why would she be bleeding from her nose and coughing like she has pneumonia but isn't sick? What could be wrong?" I explain. Harry steps in.
"I'm not sure. I mean, passing out from a lot of pain is normal but her turning pale, her heart rate being abnormal, and especially that coughing and nose bleed...something else could be going on." He explained.
"What do you mean?" I ask.
Harry pulls me aside while Gemma checks Jodie to make sure she doesn't have any cuts or infected areas on her body.
"Niall, remember when you found that geode and Jodie used it on you to heal you after the hurricane?"
"Yeah?"
"That geode had special powers Niall."
"I'm aware..." I say, rubbing my stomach and feeling the knot of the geode still in there.
"Niall, don't freak out okay?"
"Why?" I ask, my confusion turning into concern.
"What if, you were to take half of the geode you have inside of you and put it in Jodie?" He asks.
"Explain."
"Jodie was cut by a glazer but she's immune. But what if she's being affected by the abnormal weather? With the glazers being affected though she's immune, she could be having similar things happening to her?"
"That's actually a really good observation." I say.
"So...to maybe keep her from suffering like the glazers, we should um..." He trailed off.
"What is it Harry? What are you saying?" I ask concerned.
"Maybe take half of the geode from you and put into her to keep her from dying is what I'm saying."
