Ellen's POV

I wake up to the sun shining in my eyes. I lift myself up when I suddenly wince and plop back down. I look to see that my arms and legs have cuts and dry blood on them.

I sit up again and slowly stand up. I stretch and look around. I gasp at what I see.

The tower is demolished. Debree is everywhere. Trees are down and limbs are everywhere. Four out of five of the horses are still alive. One lays limp under where the staircase had fallen onto it.

I continue looking around the area when I let out a scream.

I see Louis struggling to get up. So I rush over to help him. His Achilles' tendon is cut and he can't stand or walk.

"Louis! Oh my god you're okay!" I start to cry.

I help him up and try my best to lean him against a still standing tree. He coughs and points behind me. I see Harry, Liam and Marion stuck under the bed frame. I rush over and lift it as best as I could.

Harry crawls out with a few cuts, gashes and bruises. He helps me lift the rest of the frame.

He grabs Liam who is a bit dazed, confused and limp and pulls him out. He has a broken hand and a huge spot of blood on his pants. Harry pulls them off and I gasp.

He has a huge cut on his leg. I can see the bone. Blood is everywhere.

Marion crawls out barely touched. Just like me.

She still has her backpack on and she pulls it out to assist Liam with his wound. She gives Harry some equipment so he can fix Louis up.

"Everyone's okay." I let out a breath of relief.

"Wait. Aren't we missing someone?" Marion asked.

"No that should be all of us?" I question.

I begin to count. Me, Marion, Liam, Harry, Louis, and... Niall. Oh no.

"Niall." I breathe out.

"Niall!" I shout.

"Niall!" I shout again, getting more worried.

"I don't see Niall anywhere." I start to hyperventilate.

"Niall! Where are you!" I start tearing up.

I run around the demolished tower and around the vicinity of where everything had landed in the crash. I get to a tree near where the old radio antenna is. I see Niall's bag.

I pick it up and put it over my shoulders. Continuing to search for him while the others are getting fixed up.

Niall isn't out here, there's no way he could have gone that far. He was right next to me and Liam when the tower crashed. I continue looking around when I see something shiny on the ground near the rubble.

I walk closer to inspect the object when I notice it's familiar presence. Niall's geode. I pick it up and look around. He has to be under this rubble.

"Niall!" I scream. I put the geode in his bag and begin digging into the mess left on the ground from the storm.

I begin lifting up broken wood and metal and tossing it aside. I pull more and more wood and metal off of the pile and toss it aside.

Suddenly, I see a hand.

I pull on the materials even faster and throw them aside. Strength I have never felt before in my own body. My adrenalin doing all of the work.

I pull enough stuff out to see Niall, unresponsive under the rubble.

I pull on his arm and drag him out. I lay him on the open ground and scream.

First, I see a trail of blood from where I pulled Niall out to where he's laying. But I see a huge piece of wood, going straight through the left side of his stomach. Blood still gushing out.

"Niall!" I scream.

"Someone! Help!" I shout. Tears are running down my face and they will not stop.

Harry rushes over to see why I'm screaming. He gasps and covers his mouth, tears rushing to his eyes.

"What do we do!" I yell.

"He's lost a lot of blood. I don't think he's going to make it Ellen." Marion said in a calm voice.

"No, he has to fight. He needs to stay alive for Jodie!" I cry.

"Honey, he would need blood transfusions to survive and we don't live in a world with electricity anymore. There's no way we can give him blood." She tears up.

"All we can do is hope for the best or pray." She said.

She walks back to continue tending to Liam.

I turn towards Harry and hug him. I cry into his chest.

I pull away and grab Niall's hand. Holding it and not letting go. It's cold and lifeless. I put my two fingers onto his wrist to feel his pulse. It's very faint.

"He's not going to survive much longer like this." I say to Harry.

"We need to find help. Anyone. I don't care how dangerous it is." I say.

"I agree Ellen. We have to find him." Harry says.

I get up and grab my bag, laying near a tree. I pull out a gun and check to make sure it's loaded before putting it in my belt holster.

"Woah, woah, woah. Where do you think you're going?" Harry says.

"I'm going to save Niall." I say, in a duh attitude.

"You need to stay and watch him. Marion can't take care of 3 injured people by herself." Harry says.

I stand there and ponder a minute. He's right. I can't just leave Niall alone with Marion. I sigh, giving up but understanding.

"Marion, you and Ellen watch Niall. I am going for help. I don't care how dangerous it is. Niall needs to stay alive. Let's just hope there someone is out there willing to help." Harry says.

"Be safe." Marion says to him.

"Here Harry. Take this walkie talkie. Talk to us when you find someone. I have the other one in my bag." Louis says, still in pain but holding his arm up to hand him the device.

We all give Harry a big hug and let go. He grabs his bag and shotgun begins to make his way into the forest, not knowing what to expect, but only focusing on saving Niall's life.
