~Lydia's pov~"Lydia, we have some bad news." My mother told me, rather annoyed.
"Our guest that was supposed to arrive next month is arriving much earlier. He is coming today in twenty minutes in fact, unless he decides again to come earlier, which will be a colossal problem because I am not ready to see his stupid.."
My father nudged my mother, "What is it? Is he here already?!" she said rather shocked.
"No dear, I just want to tell you to be nice." I laughed quietly at my parents' bickering.
"No! I will be nice when the idiot arrives!" She argued back and then cleared her throat. "Alright, as I was saying, you will need to prepare and get ready, so will I, or else I slap his arrogant face, well either way I will still slap his face; in a lady like manner obviously." She said with a lot of sass.
"What are you still doing here? Come on let's go!" My mother told me. I excused myself out and went to my chamber room to find something to wear. I picked out a random purple dress, this will have to do, and I did my hair in a French braid. Once I was done, I went downstairs to the living room to relax and wait for the guest to arrive.
The announcement went off saying that the Prince Of Australia Jackson Whitmore. "Ugh, can't he just go back there, nobody invited him anyways. By the way, I feel sorry for Australia." my mother muttered to my father, who just simply chuckled.
The Prince walked in and he had a massive arrogant smirk on his face which I already wanted to smack off his face. "Good afternoon, King, Queen and Princess." he nodded his head at us and bowed, but when he mentioned my title he looked at me and took out his hand for me to take. I however, ignored him which made my mother almost laugh, but she hid her laughter under a cough.
He smiled at us all, however it wasn't a nice friendly smile, it was an arrogant sly smile. Gertrude came into the room and I gave her a look to warn her to run and save herself from this foul man. However it was too late for her to leave unnoticed, Jackson gave her a creepy look and she just gave him a threatening scowl in return, which made him shiver back to his place. I chuckled quietly entertained by this. Gertrude has to teach me her ways.
While my father gave the arrogant Prince a tour around the castle, I went to find Gertrude. I went into the kitchen and saw Gertrude talking to one of the new butlers.
"Hi Lydia" she smiled at me. "Hi" I smiled back at her. The butler was confused at to why Gertrude and I were informal and very friendly. "Hmm.. So?" he questioned the situation.
Gertrude laughed at how clueless the butler was. "Lydia, this is my cousin, Frederick. He will be here for a short while." I smiled and shook his hand. "Hello, it is nice to meet you, Frederick." He smiled back at me awkwardly. "It is nice to meet you too."
I turned to Gertrude. "I am sorry to intrude, but can I talk to you right now?" She smiled at me and nodded. "Yes, sure." she lead is the way into the music room.
"What is it?" She asked me wondering what I needed her for. "I was wondering, how on Earth did you frighten that arrogant man?" Gertrude laughed at me.
"It was something I learnt from my mother, she always had a scary scowl on her face whenever someone annoyed her or even irritated her. She would simply glare at them as if to let them know not to even dare thinking about doing whatever it is that they are doing." I smiled at her. "Well, you need to teach me." she smiled back at me. "Sure."

After Gertrude and I finished off our funny discussion and her teaching me how to scowl threateningly at people, I got called down to go to dinner; a dinner with my parents and the arrogant Prince.
I entered the dinning room and saw food covering the long mahogany dinning table. The chandeliers were hanging oddly lower then usual, hopefully they fall on the stupid Prince. My father was sat at his usual spot at the far end of the table, with my mother right next to him, usually she would sit at the opposite end if there were more guest however today there was only the Prince and our family.
I took a sit next to my mother, my seat was opposite the Prince, which was better than right next to him, and at least I can listen to my mother's sly comments about him, to entertain me.
"Oh, hello again, Lydia." The Prince said slyly with an evil satisfied smirk, which I wanted to smack off his face. When on Earth have we got to first name basis?
"It's Princess to you." I said rather bleak, which made my mother almost choke. My father looked at me with a stern look telling me to behave.
"Very well then." The Prince awkwardly said. He paused for a second and then continued to talk about something to break the silence, however it was about something which nobody cared about.
"So you are aware that I have alot of girls, maidens in fact, who would dream to have me at their arms, and waiting for me to also.." He started bragging. My mother rolled her eyes subtlely.
"Please do stop talking and enjoy the meal in front of you." I said to him which my mother automatically agreed with me. "It is very delicious, do take it from me." She said with amusement. With that he took a bite. "Hmm, I do have to say it is very nice. It kind of reminds me of.." I turned around and gave him an annoyed look. If you are enjoying a meal, you eat it, you do not start going on about God knows what!
"Prince Jackson, please be a dear and eat this meal which you seem to enjoy, we will love to hear your stories, but I believe they will be more nicer to hear when we don't have our faces stuffed with food." My mother told him with a calm tone, which made him quiet and start to eat. Thank you God for letting me have an amazing mother.
After dinner the Prince lefted and good riddances to that. My mother said a sarcastic farewell to him before he lefted. After he lefted, my parents went off to discuss some important matter, which I don't know anything about, but if I have to guess I would say it might be about the Prince.
After a while I got summoned into the throne room, this isn't going to be good. I walked in to the room and saw my mother stressed out while my father looked calm and collected.
"Lydia." My father said acknowledging my entrance. "No, I will not let you do this to our daughter!" my mother yelled at him.
"Mother? Father? What is the matter?" I asked them confused at what is happening. My mother frowned at my father, but he remained calm and didn't even react."Lydia, we think you need to marry the Prince Jackson."
