~Lydia's pov~

"Lydia?!" I heard my father calling my name. Ugh! I swear if this is another thing about that arrogant imbecile Jackson, I will lose it!

I went to find him and see what he wanted. I walked into the room and saw him sitting in the dinning room with a newspaper. "Ah, yes, Lydia." He set his newspaper down and turned to look at me.

"Lydia, I need to talk to you." He pulled a serious face which only meant that I had to listen to him and not say anything until he was finished. I took a sharp breath and waited for him to say what he wanted.

"I know how things have been between us the past few weeks, but I just wanted to tell you that most of the deadlines are coming closer. But the point is that you need to get married as soon as possible, I hate to admit it but I am getting more sick by the day. " After he finished his sentence I looked at him trying to figure out what exactly he wanted me to do right now.

"What exactly do you want me to do right now?" I asked him confused.
"I want you to marry the Prince." I looked at him like he was crazy.

"You want me to marry Prince Jackson Whitmore?!" I scowled at him.

"Yes, Lydia, this is my dying wish."

"Damn right! You're sick and dying! What kind of ridiculous absurd atrocity are you coming up with?! What kind of father doesn't ask the children's mother what they want?!" My mother burst in and shouted at my father, I smiled at her because yet again she is at my rescue.

"Natalie, please, you must hear me.. " He pleaded her but she interrupted him. "When were you planning to tell me? After she agrees to your emotional black mail or the day before she walks down the aisle?" She scowled at him making him panic.

"Listen honey, I only want what's best for everyone."
"Everyone?! What about her? She will be in a loveless marriage and for what? The kingdom? Don't give me that garbage. And not forgetting the fact that our grandchildren will be a Whitmore! Have you even seen the rest of their family?" she ran her fingers threw her hair.

I had enough of this entire conversation and I decided I need some fresh air. I walked out of the room unnoticed and headed off outside, but before I lefted the castle I came across Gertrude who just had entered.
"Oh, hello, where are you going?" she asked me laughing.

"I don't know, anywhere." I told her with an annoyed tone to my voice, Gertrude got the hint that something was awfully wrong.

"I am going to ask you later about what happened, whenever you feel like talking, but for now I will join you on your random journey." she said with her head slightly at an angle to see my face. I was always grateful to have Gertrude, she was always there when I needed her, she was like the older sister I never had.

I followed Gertrude out to the stables. Gertrude took her horse out and put a stadle on it. Gertrude's horse was a simple brown horse, which she had with her ever since she came here. I don't really know how long she had him for. "Come on" she talked quietly to him as she guided him out.

"Gertrude, how long have you had him for?" I asked her curiously, she laughed and then answered.
"I don't really know how long in years but I was 15 when I first got him." she patted her horse.

"Did your mother get him for you?" I asked her, Gertrude went silent for a second. I just realised in that moment, for however long I knew Gertrude she never talked about her family except Franklin.

"No." she answered simply and then she took a death breath and continued. "Alex did." she looked at her horse and then turned back to me. "He realised that I had no horse, so he brought me one. Before that I would go everywhere with him." she smiled slightly.

"He didn't have much then but he always somehow made enough for me and his family." I smiled at her and she bite her lip. "Don't tease me!" she told me quickly giving me the idea to tease her.

"So you were basically married?" I laughed, she squealed for me to stop. "Did you have a child?" "Oh my God! No!" she shouted. "Gertrude Florence! Or would it be Jadelyn Florence?"

"Okay that's enough, Lydia Stilinski!" she teased me back. "Touché" I laughed making her laugh too.

"Come on, let's go and get Allison, we are going on an adventure." I smiled at her. She smiled back at me and we rode off to the Argent's Manor house.

~Stiles' pov~

The past few days have been the same constant cycle; go to the office, get assigned a job to do in the office, go to an interview, eat, got home and sleep and I hated it.

I laid on my bed not wanting to move, the last only sense of motivation left in me was a beautiful girl who is waiting for me back home, Lydia Martin. I got up from my bed, only doing this so I can get back for her. My other reasons for doing is for my father and for money.

After doing my usual morning routine I went to the office. London is a very nice city, nice old fashioned buildings and roads. I looked outside of my window wondering what everyone else was doing today.

"Stiles, I need you to come into my office." The boss called for me, he didn't look like he was in a good mood. He was actually a decent boss better than Mr Tate that's for sure, but some days he can get into a bad mood.
"Yes, sir." I walked into his office, he gestured me to take a seat, so I sat down.

"Alright, so I have called you in here to tell you that we have a very important guest arriving today for a business meeting, I would like you to give him a tour of the office and make sure he is happy. We have a very important business to settle with him and his company."

"Okay, what time is he arriving?" I asked. "Any time now." He said checking his watch, an another employee walked in and told him that he is here. "Alright, thank you, Stiles and have a nice day." He told me, I shook his hand and walked downstairs to the ground floor.

Once I got there I saw a man with a brief case. "It's nice to see you again Stiles." I looked at him and realised that it was Mr Tate.

~Lydia's pov~

Gertrude and I knocked on Allison's door, Allison opened the door.
"Hi, do you want to go on a spontaneous adventure." I asked her, Allison smiled at us. "Yes, of course." she laughed. "Let's get going!" I said smiling with excitement.

Allison grabbed her horse and came galloping our way. "I took my bow and arrows in case we get in danger."
She told me pointing at her bag with her quiver and arrows. We laughed and then headed off to the woods. There was snow covering the ground and a misty fog, it looked majestic and beautiful.

We rode our horses down the cold snow and just stopped at one point admiring the view, it was always beautiful this time of year. "It is beautiful." I said, the other two agreed.

We rode down the path until we reached a cliff top, I went to take a better look at the scenery.
"Someday I would like to see the northern lights. I know this is random, but I just want to see what other beauty the world holds." Gertrude said sighing with relief. "Well, there's always one beauty of the world right here."

"Huh?" she questioned. "Alexander Florence, of course!" I laughed. "Oh shut it!" she laughed.

"Who is Alexander?" Allison asked. "It was only Gertrude's past lover, he's back, you should get her to tell you about him it's not really my place to say." I teased her, Gertrude shook her head and Allison laughed.

"You really don't have boundaries do you?" she said. "Not really."
"I gathered."

Suddenly, we heard footsteps behind us. Allison quickly pulled out her bow and arrows. We turned around and looked around. "Who's there?" she shouted her voice was filled with fury and power.

She got off her horse and ran out into the direction of the footsteps. She pulled out an arrow put it into her quiver. We heard another set of footsteps again, Allison shot an arrow without any hesitation. I smiled at her, the Argents were always the best guards in the whole kingdom.

Gertrude ran off into the other direction where the footsteps were coming from, with a stick she broke and made into a spear.

I suddenly heard something coming behind me before I could turn around and see what it was I was attacked.
